Linda Blackshear, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday June 3, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday June 8, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home with Pastor, Bob Miller officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday June 7, 2022 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Linda was born on May 2, 1943 in Nocona, Texas to Don and Anna Bagwell. Linda was a kind, caring and thoughtful person; always willing to help those she loved. She loved her five boys unconditionally and enjoyed quality time with her grandchildren. Linda was an avid cook and liked to bake; according to her family she always had something sweet in the oven. Linda also enjoyed fishing for a time. She had a kind but competitive spirit and was always up for playing Farkle. She was a huge fan of the king of country music, George Strait. Linda was deeply loved by her family and will be missed.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Terry Ashford and a grandson, Seth Guest.

Survivors include five sons, Montie Guest, Chalk Guest (Jane), Shannon Phillips, Harry Blackshear (Ashlee) and Josh Sipes, all of Amarillo; one sister, Jo Dyer (Ron) of Canyon; one brother, James Bagwell (Becky); fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; nieces, Deana Billiter, Mistie Anderson, Terrie Christophersen, Britani Briley and Melissa Pratt.


She was buried on 8 June 2022 at Rancho La Vega Cemetery, Del Rio, Val Verde County, Texas.
