Etha Audrey Dean and James Thomas Scabery were divorced on 10 January 1951 at Townsend, Broadwater County, Montana. As of 30 June 1951,her married name was Bagwell. Etha Audrey Dean married James Orville Bagwell, son of James Oscar Bagwell and Mary Lou Monroe, on 30 June 1951 at Spokane, Washington. As of 11 March 1962,her married name was Jernigan. Etha Audrey Dean married Thurmond James Jernigan on 11 March 1962 at Imperial, California. Etha Audrey Dean died on 28 January 1988 in San Diego County, California, at age 56.

Susie Margaret Vancil died on 31 October 1913 in Illinois at age 21. She was buried at Looney Springs Cemetery, Campbell Hill, Jackson County, Illinois.

Ethan was a proud Army veteran who answered the call to serve his country with honor and dedication. He served in the United States Army, including a deployment to Kuwait, and took great pride in the friendships, experiences, and sense of purpose that military service provided. His dedication and commitment were recognized through the award of the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.

Outside of his military service, Ethan was most at home outdoors. Whether in the woods, on the water, or simply enjoying nature, he found peace in the outdoors and never missed an opportunity to share that passion with family and friends. He appreciated the simple things in life and believed the best memories were made outside.

Of all the roles he held, none meant more to him than being a father. His daughters, Aubrie and Paisley, were his greatest source of pride and joy. He loved spending time with them, teaching them, making them laugh, and watching them grow. The values he carried throughout his life—strength, resilience, loyalty, and devotion to family—will continue through them.

He will be remembered for his unwavering resilience, quick wit, ability to fix anything, and the deep love he had for those fortunate enough to call him family or friend.

Ethan was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Margaret Bagwell; his grandparents, A.J. “Dude” and Eunice Goodwin; his sister, Caitlin Bagwell; and his uncles, Donnie Goodwin and Bobby Goodwin.

He is survived by his wife, Lauren Bagwell; his daughters, Aubrie Bagwell and Paisley Bagwell; his parents, Terry and Brenda Bagwell; his sister, Rhianon Marsh (Paul); his nephew, Kaleb Marsh; his nieces, Emma Marsh and Makenna Bagwell; honorary family members, Houston Lowery, Dustin Dones (Shelby), and Douglas Alexander (Kendyl); and countless other family members and friends whose lives he touched.

Military honors will be rendered in recognition of his faithful service to the United States Army.

In lieu of flowers, Ethan’s family requests that memorial donations be made to K9s For Warriors, an organization dedicated to providing service dogs to veterans.

He was buried on 1 June 2026 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida.

     Caitlin Autumn Bagwell was born in April 1988. She was the daughter of Terrill Eugene Bagwell and Brenda Kaye Goodwin. Caitlin Autumn Bagwell died before 2026.

     Ashley (?) married Eric R. Bagwell, son of James Robert Bagwell and Sabrina Doris Sipes, circa 2005.

     Bryson Noah Bagwell was born on 19 April 2009 in Aiken, South Carolina. He was the son of Eric R. Bagwell and Ashley (?) Bryson Noah Bagwell died on 24 May 2026 at age 17

It is with heavy hearts and endless love, we announce the passing of Bryson Noah Bagwell, age 17, on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at 3 PM at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel. The family asks that casual attire be worn to Bryson's service.

Bryson was born on April 19, 2009, in Aiken, SC, to Ashley Ball Carter and Eric Bagwell. His heart was big and his mischievous smile and side eye glance, endeared him to all who loved him. He followed in the family's footsteps of dark humor usually with a joke, a sarcastic comment, or crazy story, that would leave everyone laughing a little harder than they should. He adored his family more than anything, especially his siblings and his precious niece, Everlynn, who brought out the softer side of him.

Some of Bryson's favorite memories were made on the golf course and going to Midway with his Papa, spending time with the people he loved most, going for a car ride with his Mama, and singing along to Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles like he was born in the wrong generation. He loved live music, staying up too late, and simply sitting and talking one-on onewith anyone and everyone.

He is survived by his loving mother Ashley Ball Carter; his father and stepmother, Eric and Candace Bagwell, his siblings Bailee Bagwell, Caleb Miller, Ethan Carter, Wrenley Bagwell, and Walker Bagwell; and his beloved niece Everlynn Miller. He is also survived by his grandparents, Tony and Carla Nappier, who Bryson lived with, Joann Ball, and Robbie Bagwell; great-Grandfather, Papa Edgar Trotter, and great-grandmother, Memaw Patsy Bagwell; aunts and uncles Brittany (Duane) Cox, Jennifer (Donnie) Gangway, Noah (Khaki) Byers, Zach (Cat) McCabe and Shannon (Curtis) Nappier Thompson; and his cousins Ryleigh, Layla, and Levi Cox, Garrett and Jordan Gangway, Caleb and Tyler McCabe, Donovan Head, Sean Head, Myra Newhouse, Evan Newhouse, Lilly Byers, Grace Byers, Olivia Nappier, and Gibson Byers, as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves behind dear friends Kaylee Sharpe, Ricky Knight, Max Nappier and his entire Midway Family.

Bryson is preceded in death by his great grandparents Donna and John Ball, Jimmy Bagwell, Joann Trotter, Wayne and Orell Byers; his nephew Jersey Miller; and his cousin Ramsey Byers.

Though his time here was far too short, Bryson left behind a lifetime worth of love, laughter, and memories. The world feels quieter without him, but anyone lucky enough to know him will carry pieces of his humor, kindness, and spirit forever.

     Valerie Elizabeth Bagwell is the daughter of Ronnie A. Bagwell Jr. and Jennifer Kay Davis. Valerie Elizabeth Bagwell married Robert Ward after 2018.
