She was born April 30, 1913. Mrs. Burrows retired from Concord Elementary School as a teacher and was a member of Paducah/McCracken County Retired Teachers. She was a member of Milburn Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Wava (Eddy) Grandon and Gayle Ingram (Bruce) Ferguosn; one sister, Ophie Trevathan Vance; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and three wonderful caregivers, Shirley Bogard, Janice Brannon and Frances Dalli.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, C. C. Huggins; her second husband, Walter Burrows; four sisters, Sara Griffith, Thelma Wyatt, Viniard Humphreys and Avella Geurin; and two brothers, Willard and Key Bagwell. Her parents were Merritt and Ironia McReynolds Bagwell.1
She was buried at Harris Cemetery, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky.1

Thelma Bagwell Wyatt, 88, of Paducah died at 5:13 p.m. Monday at Gaither Suites.

Mrs. Wyatt retired from Hancock's Grocery and was a homemaker. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Reba Davis of Paducah; two sisters, Pauline Huggins Burrows and Ophie Trevathan Vance, both of Paducah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Hoffman; her second husband, Casper Slusmeyer; her third husband, Alton Wyatt; two brothers; and three sisters. Her parents were Merrit Nicholas and Ironia McReynolds Bagwell.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Earl T. Dickerson officiating. Burial will be at McKendree Church Cemetery in Kevil.

Mrs. Louise H. Bagwell, 97, of Union City died 8:35 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Golden Living Center.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Rev. Hugh Barksdale will officiate. Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Mrs. Bagwell was born April 12, 1913, in Memphis, daughter of the late Robert Preston and Clara Patti (Bloodworth) Houser. She married Willard Wiley Bagwell on October 27, 1934. He died December 6, 2002. She was a graduate of Murray State University and retired as a teacher with the Obion County School System after 27 years of service having taught at the former Dixie School, Woodland Mills School, Troy School and Kenton School. Mrs. Bagwell was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, the retired Union City-Obion County Teachers Association and the retired Tennessee Education Association.

She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandra Bagwell of Union City and Susan and Robert M. Robinson of Memphis; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Jenny Lou Bagwell of Union City; six grandchildren and their spouses, Laura and Dan Faulkner of South Fulton, Merritt and Jennifer Bagwell of Paducah, Kentucky, Rob Robinson and Melissa Farmer both of Memphis, Amy and Scott Stewart of Tryon, North Carolina and Chris Robinson of Tampa, Florida; eight great-grandchildren, Knox Faulkner, Nolan Faulkner and Leah Beth Faulkner all of South Fulton, Evelyn Bagwell and Austin Merritt Bagwell both of Paducah, Kentucky, Luke Stewart and Jack Stewart both of Tryon, North Carolina and Grayson Farmer of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca Bagwell.

The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Merritt Bagwell, Rob Robinson, Dan Faulkner, Nolan Faulkner, Knox Faulkner, James David Kendall and Robert Kendall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Robinson, Scott Stewart, Hoyt Giffin and member of the Wesley Dunn Sunday School class of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Mrs. S. J. Weatherly Dies Suddenly

Mrs. S. J. Weatherly died suddenly at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at her home on 16th street, aged 77 years and 5 months.

Ann Bagwill was born to William and Elizabeth Bagwill May 31, 1854 and reared on the old Bagwill homestead three miles south of Murphysboro and has spent her entire life in and around Murphysboro.

She was united in marriage to S. J. Weatherly July 17, 1873. To this union nine children were born, six preceding her in death several years ago. Left to mourn, besides the aged husband, Mrs. Nelle Brown of Chicago, William Weatherly of Tamms and Arthur at home. She also leaves ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ollie Skaggs at Belleville.

She joined the United Brethren church while in her youth and later united with the Free Baptist church of this city, and was a faithful and earnest worker in this church until old age and ill health prevented her from doing so.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist church. Interment at City cemetery
