     Shirley Ann Knox was born on 2 May 1948.¹ As of after 1955,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Richard Walter Bagwell, son of Hubert T. She is survived by father Albert Knox (Sally), sister Patti Figgins (David), niece Teresa Warner (Rick) and their children Katie, Tyler and Renee, and niece Kimberly Figgins (Randall). Shirley was raised in Bloomington and retired from GTE after 30 years. Shirley was a avid reader, liked the casinos but her family was the most important thing.      Kathleen Mancil was born circa 1920 in Dothan, Alabama.¹ She married Jack King on 17 August 1936 at Crestview, Okaloosa, Florida. As of December 1936,her married name was King.¹ Kathleen Mancil died on 2 July 2001 in Savannah, Georgia. She was buried at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Savannah, Georgia.

     Tracy Sly married Gary Graham Oetgen, son of Robert Mays Oetgen and Sydney H. Graham, before 1994.¹

     Graham Oetgen is the son of Gary Graham Oetgen and Tracy Sly.¹

     Richard Jack Jeffries was born on 29 August 1948.¹ He served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was wounded in combat and was 90% disabled as a result of his wounds. He married Kelley Suzanne Oetgen, daughter of Robert Mays Oetgen and Sydney H. Graham, in August 1997.¹ Richard Jack Jeffries and Kelley Suzanne Oetgen were divorced after 29 September 1999.¹ He was discharged from the military on 11 September 2001. Richard Jack Jeffries died on 24 March 2015 at age 66
Rich Jeffries, a resident of Tybee Island, died after a short illness at Oceanside Nursing Home surrounded by his family.


Born 1948 in Torrance, California, Rich grew up in Manhattan Beach, where he surfed and sailed Hobie Cats. Rich was drafted in the Vietnam War in 1968 where he received numerous decorations including the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal to name a few. In 1974 Rich became involved with the operation of regattas for the Hobie Company, whereas he arranged annually Hobie regattas worldwide. Because of his experience in running large international regattas he was invited in 1981 to be the venue coordinator for the 1984 Olympic yachting in Los Angeles. He is best known in the Savannah area for being the venue manager of the Olympic Games in 1996. For decades Rich was a delegate for the U.S. Sailing Olympic Committee (OSC) as well as the International Sailing Federation (ISAF).

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer Jeffries Phillips (Mark) of Boerne, Texas and a daughter Makenzie Jeffries of Savannah, grandsons Cole, Zachary and Landon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lavera Jeffries as well as his sister Carol.

     Makenzie Jeffries is the daughter of Richard Jack Jeffries and Kelley Suzanne Oetgen.¹

     Clara M. Pepper was born in 1911. As of 11 June 1970,her married name was Carter. She married Selby Roseberry Carter on 11 June 1970 at Charlotte County, Florida. Clara M. Pepper died in 1991. She was buried at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte, Charlotte County, Florida.

     Kathryn (?) married Norman Vincent Frizzell, son of Thomas Augustus Frizzle and Rose A. Clark, before 1944.

     Commander Melvin V. Frizzell was born circa 1944.¹ He was the son of Norman Vincent Frizzell and Kathryn (?)¹ He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.¹ Commander Melvin V. Frizzell married Janet K. (?) after 1960.¹ Commander Melvin V. Frizzell died on 19 February 1997 Commander Melvin V. Frizzell, age 53, of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 1997 at Kobacker House following a courageous six month bout with cancer. He was currently Commander of Technical Services with Columbus Division of Police with over 30 years of service. Survived by his son, Michael Frizzell; mother, Kathryn Frizzell; sister, Vivian Frizzell; brother, James Frizzell; loving and caring companion, Judy Harrington. Preceded in death by his wife Janet K. Frizzell and father Norm (Duke) Frizzell. He was a 1961 graduate of North High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio Dominican College in 1987. Veteran U.S. Air Force. He was a member of F.O.P. Lodge and several other professional associations. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday. She died on 27 July 1997 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 89 Marjorie Frizzell Dempert, age 89, of Upper Arlington, died Sunday, July 27, 1997 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was a candy maker with Maramor Restaurant retiring following 31 years of service and a cook at The Ohio Union for 10 years. She was the widow of John Dempert who died in 1970. She is survived by her niece, Vivian Frizzell; nephews, Donald (Marguerite) Frizzell, Gerald (Dee) Frizzell and Craig Frizzell; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Frizzell and Gertrude Dempert; other nieces and nephews; dear friend, Peggy Lucas and many close friends.      James Craig Frizzell was also known as Steve Craig Frizzell. He was born on 25 October 1945. He was the son of Norman Vincent Frizzell and Kathryn (?) James Craig Frizzell married Ruth Maddox after 1960. James Craig Frizzell died on 15 November 2012 at age 67. He was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio.

Levonia Galloway died on 16 September 2007 in Pontotoc County, Mississippi, at age 75.¹ She was buried at Chalkhead Baptist Church Cemetery, Ewell, Dale County, Alabama.¹

     William Thaxton Lewis married Opal Josephine Bagwell, daughter of Wilburn Bagwell and Eva Grantham Vickers, on 21 October 1950.

     John C. Henderson was born on 21 November 1911 in Alabama.¹ He married Minnie Lee Bagwell, daughter of Wilburn Bagwell and Eva Grantham Vickers, on 2 April 1941 at Florida. John C. Henderson died on 8 June 1985 in Coffee County, Alabama, at age 73.¹ He was buried at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, Coffee County, Alabama.¹

     Mary Odell Dupree was born on 16 July 1931 in Houston County, Alabama.¹ As of after 1946,her married name was Bagwell. She married Edgar Eugene Bagwell, son of Wilburn Bagwell and Eva Grantham Vickers, after 1946. Carol Diane Braswell, a resident of Dothan, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at her residence. She was 68.

Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Gardens of Memory with Chaplain Kathy Stumbaugh officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 PM until 4 PM on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Carol was born July 16, 1952 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Edgar Eugene and Mary Odell Dupree Bagwell. She was a loving and giving lady who cared for her parents, family and grandchildren. Carol enjoyed the outdoors and had a heart for people and loved the Lord. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and for her excellent cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Earl Braswell; children, Tye and Christina Baughman, Billy Baughman, Steve and Joyce Jordan, Robert and Ashley Braswell, Serena and Daniel Benton; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Jean and Lennie Pike and two brothers, Tim and Lisa Bagwell and Bobby Bagwell.
