Services for Hoyt Thomas Bagwell, 48. Gracey. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

He died at 3 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at his home of natural causes.

A native of Caldwell County, he was born Jan. 10, 1951, the son of Beulah Merrick Bagwell, Hopkinsville. and the late Wylie Bagwell. He was employed at Flynn Enterprises and was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Helen West Bagwell; a son. Thomas Bagwell, Christian County; three brothers, Jackson Bagwell, Hopkinsville. and Doug and Lacy Bagwell, both of Christian County; and five sisters, Inez Moody and Carolyn Chilton, both of Hopkinsville, Glenda Dimmit, Montana, Nancy Hennison, Princeton and Lola Bagwell, Dawson Springs.

John Burch Bagwell, affectionately known as “Bag” or “Big Chief”, crossed over to heaven on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

John was born on October 26, 1955 in Barberton, Ohio to Ellen and Fred Bagwell.

John attended public school in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from S. R. Butler High School in 1973. He enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged on December 6th, 1976.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Mississippi State University on May 9th, 1980 and a MBA from Auburn University on August 26th, 1986. He started and owned his own construction firm, B&C Construction, to his retirement.

John married Lou Ellyn Davis on August 15th, 1989 in Hawaii. John is survived by three sons, Denton, Derrick and Davis, five grandchildren, and two sisters, Genetta Holt of Tucson, Arizona and Mary Ellen Stoltz of Cookeville, Tennessee.

His parents preceded him in death. John’s last years were an inspiration to his family and friends as he bravely battled multiple health issues. He had a sweet relationship with Jesus. He will be forever loved and missed by his family. He will be laid to rest at Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Veteran’s Day. Semper fi

Willie Lee Bagwell Lever, age 98, of Crockett, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 20th day of March 2022 at Enchanted Pines. She was born on the 31st day of December 1923, in Friday, Texas, to parents Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virgina “Big Mama” Fussell.

Mrs. Lever was born one of eleven children and raised into a family of farmers. She had an eccentric humor about her and found pleasure in telling stories. She enjoyed gardening and was a nature lover. Mrs. Lever loved being outside with all her plants and sharing life with her loved ones. She truly loved life and having fun.

Mrs. Lever enjoyed traveling around Western Europe and lived in Sidney, Australia for a time. She absolutely loved to dance and enjoyed good music, especially George Jones and Willie Nelson. Her way of gracefully moving through life and speaking her mind created much laughter and light heartedness. Her family and friends are forever touched by her vibrant spirit.

Left to cherish the fond memories of Mrs. Lever are her sons, Homer Davis, Willie Josey, Gary Josey; daughter, Scharlotte Long; grandchildren, Holly and Jesse Davis, Willie Josey, Jr., Lindsey and Michelle Josey, and Cricket Long. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and friends.

The family will honor Mrs. Lever’s life with a private memorial service at a later date.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Katherine McCall and the team of caregivers, staff, and nurses at Enchanted Pines Assisted Living Facility.

Cremation services for Willie Lee Bagwell Lever are in care of Rhone Funeral Home, 3900 S. State Highway 19, Palestine, Texas.1

Randolph "Randy" Bagwell, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 9, 2025, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, at the age of 65. Born on May 8, 1960, to the late Louie Bagwell and Willie Miller, Randy was a beacon of love and selflessness throughout his life.

Randy's journey began in the very town where he would leave his lasting legacy. He was a devoted family man, deeply in love with his wife, Diana Bagwell, with whom he shared a life full of joy and adventure. His pride and joy were his daughter, Sharayah Curtis, and her husband, Josh, as well as his adored granddaughters, Addison and Leah, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life. Randy was also a beloved brother to Pat Rumsey and Pam Oliver, and their bond was a testament to the close-knit family he treasured.

Professionally, Randy dedicated over three decades to Spectrum, and through hard work and determination, climbed the ranks within the company. His colleagues respected him for his work ethic and his ability to mentor and support others in their professional growth.

Randy's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He found solace in the beauty of nature, whether it was the tranquility of the beach or the challenge of a hiking trail. His adventurous spirit led him to travel far and wide, seeking new experiences and creating lasting memories with his family.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Randy would describe him as loving and selfless. He had a heart that knew no bounds, and his generosity touched the lives of many. His adventurous nature was not just about seeking thrills but also about embracing life's journey with enthusiasm and courage.

As we bid farewell to Randy, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by unwavering love for his family, a commitment to his work, and a passion for the world around him.
