     Hoyt Thomas Bagwell was born on 10 January 1951 in Caldwell County, Kentucky. He was the son of Wiley Jackson Bagwell and Beulah Liza Merrick. He served in the US Army (SP4) during the Vietnam War. Hoyt Thomas Bagwell married Helen West after 1970. Hoyt Thomas Bagwell died on 2 December 1999 in Christian County, Kentucky, at age 48


Services for Hoyt Thomas Bagwell, 48. Gracey. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

He died at 3 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at his home of natural causes.

A native of Caldwell County, he was born Jan. 10, 1951, the son of Beulah Merrick Bagwell, Hopkinsville. and the late Wylie Bagwell. He was employed at Flynn Enterprises and was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Helen West Bagwell; a son. Thomas Bagwell, Christian County; three brothers, Jackson Bagwell, Hopkinsville. and Doug and Lacy Bagwell, both of Christian County; and five sisters, Inez Moody and Carolyn Chilton, both of Hopkinsville, Glenda Dimmit, Montana, Nancy Hennison, Princeton and Lola Bagwell, Dawson Springs.

Morris Wilson Bagwell married Debra K Outlaw on 3 December 1982 at Christian County, Kentucky. Morris Wilson Bagwell died on 9 October 1996 in Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky, at age 35. He was buried at Riverside Cemetery, Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky.

     John Burch Bagwell was born on 26 October 1955 in Barberton, Summitt County, Ohio. He was the son of Walter Fred Bagwell and Ellen Genetta McHenry.¹ John Burch Bagwell married Deborah Ann Hester before 1982. John Burch Bagwell married Lou Ellyn Davis on 15 August 1989 at Hawaii. John Burch Bagwell, affectionately known as “Bag” or “Big Chief”, crossed over to heaven on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

John was born on October 26, 1955 in Barberton, Ohio to Ellen and Fred Bagwell.

John attended public school in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from S. R. Butler High School in 1973. He enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged on December 6th, 1976.

He received a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Mississippi State University on May 9th, 1980 and a MBA from Auburn University on August 26th, 1986. He started and owned his own construction firm, B&C Construction, to his retirement.

John married Lou Ellyn Davis on August 15th, 1989 in Hawaii. John is survived by three sons, Denton, Derrick and Davis, five grandchildren, and two sisters, Genetta Holt of Tucson, Arizona and Mary Ellen Stoltz of Cookeville, Tennessee.

His parents preceded him in death. John’s last years were an inspiration to his family and friends as he bravely battled multiple health issues. He had a sweet relationship with Jesus. He will be forever loved and missed by his family. He will be laid to rest at Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Veteran’s Day. Semper fi.¹

She married Marvin Lester Bagwell, son of Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virginia Fussell, on 29 November 1948 at Matagorda County, Texas. Charlsie Jean Brister was buried at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas.

     Phillip Wayne Bagwell is the son of Marvin Lester Bagwell and Charlsie Jean Brister. Phillip Wayne Bagwell married Susan C. Hutson on 23 July 1970 at Harris County, Texas. Phillip Wayne Bagwell married Teri Jean Smith on 17 June 1977 at Harris County, Texas. Phillip Wayne Bagwell and Teri Jean Smith were divorced on 25 September 1989 at Harris County, Texas. Phillip Wayne Bagwell married Gail Ann Eastman on 1 October 1989 at Harris County, Texas. Phillip Wayne Bagwell married Brenda Sue Voiles on 27 June 1998 at Brazoria County, Texas.      Gail Ann Eastman was born on 29 August 1951 in Maryland. As of 1 October 1989,her married name was Bagwell. Gail Ann Bagwell, 68, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was a life-long resident of Pearland, Texas. Gail was born in Maryland on August 29, 1951. She attended First United Methodist Church in Pearland and worked for Dog and Cat Clinic of Belfort. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Forest Eastman; and brother, Alan Eastman. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Brandi Bagwell, Cayse De Luna and husband Clemente, Lindsey Buck and husband Albert, Katlin Bagwell; seven grandchildren, Jayda Bagwell, Journie Bagwell, Noah De Luna, Briseis Limon, Eli De Luna, Josphine Buck, Ava De Luna; sister, Marilyn Sewell and husband Kip; brother, Woody Eastman; niece, Elise Bradley; as well as a host of friends and other family members.

     Teri Jean Smith married Phillip Wayne Bagwell, son of Marvin Lester Bagwell and Charlsie Jean Brister, on 17 June 1977 at Harris County, Texas. Teri Jean Smith and Phillip Wayne Bagwell were divorced on 25 September 1989 at Harris County, Texas.

     Susan C. Hutson married Phillip Wayne Bagwell, son of Marvin Lester Bagwell and Charlsie Jean Brister, on 23 July 1970 at Harris County, Texas.

     Brenda Sue Voiles married Phillip Wayne Bagwell, son of Marvin Lester Bagwell and Charlsie Jean Brister, on 27 June 1998 at Brazoria County, Texas. Brenda Sue Voiles and Phillip Wayne Bagwell were divorced on 29 August 2001.

     Ruby Lillian Roberts married Marvin Lester Bagwell, son of Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virginia Fussell, on 1 March 1963 at Fort Bend County, Texas.

     Era Berniece Bagwell is the daughter of Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virginia Fussell.

     Willie Lee Bagwell was born on 31 December 1923 in Friday, Texas. She was the daughter of Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virginia Fussell. As of 28 March 1981,her married name was Leverl. Willie Lee Bagwell married Allen James Lever on 28 March 1981 at Clark County, Texas. Willie Lee Bagwell died on 20 March 2022 in Crockett, Houston County, Texas, at age 98

Willie Lee Bagwell Lever, age 98, of Crockett, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, the 20th day of March 2022 at Enchanted Pines. She was born on the 31st day of December 1923, in Friday, Texas, to parents Levi Wilburn Bagwell and Evaline Virgina “Big Mama” Fussell.

Mrs. Lever was born one of eleven children and raised into a family of farmers. She had an eccentric humor about her and found pleasure in telling stories. She enjoyed gardening and was a nature lover. Mrs. Lever loved being outside with all her plants and sharing life with her loved ones. She truly loved life and having fun.

Mrs. Lever enjoyed traveling around Western Europe and lived in Sidney, Australia for a time. She absolutely loved to dance and enjoyed good music, especially George Jones and Willie Nelson. Her way of gracefully moving through life and speaking her mind created much laughter and light heartedness. Her family and friends are forever touched by her vibrant spirit.

Left to cherish the fond memories of Mrs. Lever are her sons, Homer Davis, Willie Josey, Gary Josey; daughter, Scharlotte Long; grandchildren, Holly and Jesse Davis, Willie Josey, Jr., Lindsey and Michelle Josey, and Cricket Long. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and friends.

The family will honor Mrs. Lever’s life with a private memorial service at a later date.

     Robert Larkin "Bob" Buchanan was born on 7 June 1847 in Meriwether, Georgia. He married Mary Elizabeth Bagwell, daughter of Wiley Biggers Bagwell and Susan J. Bagwell, in 1869. Robert Larkin "Bob" Buchanan died on 14 June 1911 in Winn, Louisiana, at age 64.

     Linda Virginia Gosnell was born on 23 January 1950. As of after 1965,her married name was Bagwell. She married Louie James Bagwell, son of Harold James Bagwell and Betty Louise Peace, after 1965 at Greenville, South Carolina. Linda Virginia Gosnell died on 7 June 2013 at age 63. She was buried at Duncan Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Lisa Virginia Bagwell is the daughter of Louie James Bagwell and Linda Virginia Gosnell.

     Robert Larry Bagwell is the son of Louie James Bagwell and Linda Virginia Gosnell.

     Randolph Bagwell also went by the name of Randy Bagwell. He was born on 8 May 1960. He was the son of Louie James Bagwell and Willie Kyle Miller. Randolph Bagwell married Diana (?) after 1978. Randolph Bagwell died on 9 July 2025 in Greenville, South Carolina, at age 65


Randolph "Randy" Bagwell, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 9, 2025, in his hometown of Greenville, SC, at the age of 65. Born on May 8, 1960, to the late Louie Bagwell and Willie Miller, Randy was a beacon of love and selflessness throughout his life.

Randy's journey began in the very town where he would leave his lasting legacy. He was a devoted family man, deeply in love with his wife, Diana Bagwell, with whom he shared a life full of joy and adventure. His pride and joy were his daughter, Sharayah Curtis, and her husband, Josh, as well as his adored granddaughters, Addison and Leah, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life. Randy was also a beloved brother to Pat Rumsey and Pam Oliver, and their bond was a testament to the close-knit family he treasured.

Professionally, Randy dedicated over three decades to Spectrum, and through hard work and determination, climbed the ranks within the company. His colleagues respected him for his work ethic and his ability to mentor and support others in their professional growth.

Randy's love for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He found solace in the beauty of nature, whether it was the tranquility of the beach or the challenge of a hiking trail. His adventurous spirit led him to travel far and wide, seeking new experiences and creating lasting memories with his family.

Those who had the pleasure of knowing Randy would describe him as loving and selfless. He had a heart that knew no bounds, and his generosity touched the lives of many. His adventurous nature was not just about seeking thrills but also about embracing life's journey with enthusiasm and courage.

As we bid farewell to Randy, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by unwavering love for his family, a commitment to his work, and a passion for the world around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the beauty of the natural world he so admired. Randy's memory will be a guiding light, reminding us to cherish our loved ones, to give selflessly, and to embrace the adventures that life presents.

Randy's life was a testament to the power of love and the spirit of adventure. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
