She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cynthia and Larry Brakefield of Empire; father and stepmother, Mike and Marilyn Rice of Corner; one sister, Brooke Rice of Corner; three brothers, Daniel Mayfield, Michael Rice and Brett Rice, all of Corner; grandparents, Jimmy and Betty Bagwell of Empire, J.P. and Rose Rice of Corner and Genevieve Rice of Gardendale; and great-grandmothers, Lucille Bagwell of Empire and Jeanette Naramore of Bagley.
She was buried at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Corner, Jefferson County, Alabama.

     Betty Ruth Neal was born on 25 January 1928 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.¹ As of 24 January 1947,her married name was Bagwell. She married Joe Bagwell, son of John Henry Bagwell and Ellen Winsted, on 24 January 1947 at Jefferson County, Alabama. Betty Ruth Neal and Joe Bagwell lived in 1957 in Panama City, Florida. Betty Ruth Neal lived in 1980 in Leeds, Alabama. She died on 13 January 2020 in Alabama at age 91

She is survived by her husband, Lee Andrew Kittle; her children, Jacob Bean and Maddie Bean; her grandmother, Frances Bagwell; her father, William Bagwell; her sister, Jennifer Bagwell Arnold; and her niece, Macy Arnold. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 12pm at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

William E. Bagwell, Jr., -D.D.S. Merritt Island Born November 24, 1932, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, Dr. Bagwell was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was one of the original dentists in the Merritt Island area, serving his patients for more than 40 years. He had the distinguished honor of being the only General Dentist to treat patients at Wuesthoff Hospital. In his free time he loved flying his airplane, playing golf, boating, taking cruises, and traveling the world with his beloved wife and family. He will be deeply missed.

Dr. Bagwell is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Bagwell; daughter, Susan M. Tracy (Joseph); sons, Brad A. Bagwell, D.M.D. (Odilie), Todd D. Rush, and William E. Bagwell III, and his grandchildren, Chanel Martin (Ryan), Brittany Strote, Amber Rush, Katelyn Tracy, Sofia Bagwell, Alana Bagwell, Isabelle Bagwell, and Bo Alan Bagwell. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 11th at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Reception to follow at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Bagwell, 1920 Harbor Pt. Dr., Merritt Island.
