Margaret "Margie" Cooper Bagwell, 85, of Scuffletown Road, passed away December 31, 2022.
She was a daughter of the late Robert Bryant and Elizabeth Griffith Cooper, was a member of Clear Spring Baptist Church, and was a retired Federal Civil Service employee.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Herbert "Herb" Bagwell; a son, Bryan Bagwell (Gale); two daughters, Sherry Bagwell and Sharon Cox (Jimmy); two grandchildren, Angie Napier Keefe (Dusty) and Beth Taylor (Kneale); six great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Cooper (Louise); and a sister, Alma C. Smith.
She was predeceased by brothers, William, Ansel, Charles, R.B., and Alvin Cooper.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Clear Spring Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Larry "Bill" Cooper and Rev. David Shiflet. Entombment will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Thelma Paulette Mack married Willie Keisler after 1965. Thelma Paulette Mack died on 18 May 2019 in Leesville, Lexington County, South Carolina, at age 74. Reverend Virgil Leon Bagwell married Thelma Paulette Mack on 10 August 1956 at Edgefield County, South Carolina. Reverend Virgil Leon Bagwell married Darlene Caudle (?) circa 1979. Reverend Virgil Leon Bagwell died on 22 April 2023 in Columbia, Lexington County, South Carolina, at age 82


Rev. Virgil Leon Bagwell, 82, of Leesville, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born in Laurens County, SC, a son of the late J.W. and Claudia Edwards Bagwell. Virgil, first and foremost, loved his Lord and Savior and lived his life leading others to Christ. He was a devoted husband to Darlene for 44 years. Virgil's children, grandchildren, great grands, great great grands and his church family were his pride and joy. He worked hard all of his life, as a professional brick mason, beloved pastor and church planter. He founded and pastored Full Gospel Tabernacle for 25 years and later founded and pastored B-L Congregational Holiness church for approximately 15 years. Virgil loved fishing, working on cars, spending time with his family, but most of all, he loved leading people to Christ. For all that knew him, either a long time, or if you just met him for the first time, his legacy for following Christ was his desire for everyone. Amen.



Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Darlene Caudle Bagwell; children, Belinda Anderson, Sandy Chapman (Bruce), Marty Bagwell, Randy Bagwell (Elaine), Tina Storey (Jeff), Joe Bagwell (Frances), Michelle Sanders (Marc); 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren with two on the way; and three great great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and his church family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings and a son, Eddie Hall.



The funeral service for Rev. Bagwell will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 6th at B-L Congregational Holiness Church with burial immediately following on Maroney Hill, 615 Dixired Road, Leesville, SC 29070. Rev. Clyde Hardin ,Rev. David Cockrell and Rev. Marc Sanders are officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 5th at B-L Congregational Holiness Church. Active pallbearers will be: Jim Hall, Greg Hall, Chris Bagwell, Korbyn Hallman, Easton Hallman, and Braydon Hallman. Honorary pallbearers will be: Blake Parham, Joe Needham, Jay Hallman, Bill Moore, Caleb Eby, and Ryan Smith.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses or B-L Congregational Holiness Church, 147 Dickert Drive, Batesburg, SC 29006.

     Nancy Jo Herman was born on 8 June 1942 in Greenville County, South Carolina. As of before 1964,her married name was Bagwell. She married Claude Herman Bagwell Jr., son of Claude Herman Bagwell Sr. and Rebecca Roach, before 1964. Nancy Jo Herman died on 16 November 2013 in Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 71. She was buried at Graceland East Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Tammy Elaine Bagwell is the daughter of Claude Herman Bagwell Jr. and Nancy Jo Herman. Tammy Elaine Bagwell married Wendal Todd Garrett on 12 November 1994 at Easley, South Carolina.

TAYLORS, SC - Karen Bagwell Cape, 42, of 4307 Edwards Road, Apt 9H, died Friday, June 1, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

A Greenville native, Mrs. Cape was the wife of Paul Cape and the daughter of Herman Bagwell of Spartanburg, and Jo Sipe Newman of Simpsonville.

She was employed with Bi-Lo, Inc., and enjoyed reading and needle point. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cape is survived by three children, Laura, Michelle and Russell Cape, of the home; a sister, Tammy Garrett of Simpsonville; and a nephew, Tyler Garrett, of Simpsonville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland East Memorial Park. The family will be at 2 Dunwoody Drive, Simpsonville.

Randy Lee Bagwell, 65, of Easley, SC, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

Born on December 13, 1958, he was a son of the late Hoyt Bagwell and the late Gail Harbin Sweet.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Bagwell, his sister, Linda Bagwell and his nephew, Justin Bagwell.

Randy was an avid Clemson fan. He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his only son, Joshua Bagwell (Harley Lusk), his two grandsons, Tyler & Tanner Bagwell, and his brother, Mike Bagwell.

     Mike Bagwell is the son of Hoyt Lee Bagwell and Gail Annette Harbin.

     Timothy Dale Bagwell was born in 1963 in South Carolina. He was the son of Hoyt Lee Bagwell and Gail Annette Harbin. Timothy Dale Bagwell died on 24 October 2013 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina. He was buried on 26 October 2013 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Tobie Bagwell is the daughter of Hoyt Lee Bagwell and Kathy McCall. Tobie Bagwell married (?) Griffin after 1980.
