Born in Orange on February 1, 1930, Mr. Bagwell was the son of Tom Olin and Orie (Anderson) Bagwell.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served (as a Sergent in the US Marine Corp) during the Korean War. He retired from DuPont Sabine River Works where he was an electrician. Following his retirement, he worked as a self employed electrical consultant. Mr. Bagwell was an active member of Winfree Baptist Church where he served as a long time deacon, and he was a member of the Orange Lion's Club.
Preceded in death by his wife, Bessie (Bass) Bagwell.
Mr. Bagwell is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Carolyn Bagwell; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and James Allender, Tammy and Billy Lawrence; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. tomorrow, May 12 at parker Memorial Funeral home Chapel with Rev. Rex Wilburn officiating, and assisted by Rev. Wayne Cobb and Rev. Joey hamilton.
burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in bruce.
Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. today at parker Memorial Funeral home.
Mr. bagwell was a retired u. S. Navy seaman first class and WWII veteran. he was a member, Deacon and Sunday school teacher at Mt. Moriah Church, serving as church moderator and treasurer.
bagwell was farmer and retired rural mail carrier.
Survivors include his wife Mildred blount bagwell of bruce; daughters Cathy Thompson and her husband Tony of Starkville, and Tamsie Morris and her husband Lee of bruce; grandchildren Julie McCallum, Joseph Edwin Thompson, Sarah Morris and Emily Morris; and five great-grandchildren.
