Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Crystal will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel followed by burial at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday evening, December 11, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Liberty Mortuary. Help honor her battle with pancreatic cancer by wearing PURPLE to her funeral service on Tuesday.

Crystal Dawn Brown Bagwell, loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca surrounded by her loving family. As she took her final breath in this world, she also took her first breath of that celestial air in Heaven.

Born December 21, 1970 in Easley, South Carolina to John Earl Brown, Jr. and Barbara Revis Brown, she lived to serve others. She was a devoted follower of Christ and was a longtime member and pianist for over 20 years at First Baptist Church Norris where her amazing musical talents were shared with all that came to worship. She and Reid served the children of the church in the nursery during Sunday school hours for many years as well.

Her service to others extended further as she cherished the bringing of new life into the world as a labor and delivery nurse for 30 years. She touched the lives of so many families during her career at Baptist Easley and Greenville Memorial Hospitals where she developed very special friendships with her coworkers as well. Sherry, Portia, Alicia, Ashley and many others have held a very special place in her heart including our dear friend Melvin Maw.

She loved to go shopping for deals anywhere there was a clearance aisle and would sit and work through puzzle books of all sorts. Crystal also loved travel and adventure. She and Reid loved to hop on a cruise ship at the drop of a hat where they made incredible memories with family and friends.

Not only was Crystal a loving wife and daughter, but she was also the best mother in the world to Brianna, Bailey and Brayden, and honorary mother to Claire Ford Coker. She was always there to support them whether it be sports, theater, or marching band. She rarely missed those precious moments to cheer on her kids, even when she had to work all night.

In addition to her mother and father she is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Anthony Reid Bagwell, three daughters, Brianna Ellsworth and her husband Corey, Bailey Bagwell, and Brayden Bagwell, she was a beloved sister to Shane Brown and his wife Lori, she also cherished the love and friendship with her mother-in-law, Jayne King. Her life, though, became complete when she became a grandmother. Levi and Laurel Ellsworth were her greatest treasures. Levi gave her the name of “Turtle” and that is how she became affectionately known to many.

     Salathial George Goff was born circa 1800. He married Catherine Foy on 25 March 1891 at Harrison County, Vrginia.

     Philip Goff was born in June 1839 in Taylor County, West Virginia. He was the son of Salathial George Goff and Catherine Foy. Philip Goff married Sarah F. Cain on 30 August 1866 at Ritchie County, West Virginia. Philip Goff died on 14 July 1913 in Ritchie County, West Virginia, at age 74. He was buried at Bethany Cemetery, Harrisville, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Sarah F. Cain was born on 13 April 1847 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. As of 30 August 1866,her married name was Goff. She married Philip Goff, son of Salathial George Goff and Catherine Foy, on 30 August 1866 at Ritchie County, West Virginia. Sarah F. Cain died on 27 January 1927 in Wood County, West Virginia, at age 79. She was buried at Bethany Cemetery, Harrisville, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Fennigan Parker Bagwell is the daughter of Parker Thomas Bagwell and Maureen Kay Tyler.

     Patsy L. Bagwell was born on 2 November 1941 in Arkansas. She was the daughter of Edward J. Bagwell and Flossie Elizabeth Echols. Patsy L. Bagwell died on 29 September 1963 in Yuba County, California, at age 21. She was buried at Sierra View Memorial Parkl, Olivehurst, Yuba County, California.

     Mary Jean O'Connor married Jesse Clovis Bagwell, son of William Daniel Bagwell and Dora Blanche Moran, on 8 August 1974 at Tarrant County, Texas.

     Florine Wiggins married Jesse Clovis Bagwell, son of William Daniel Bagwell and Dora Blanche Moran, on 8 August 1973 at Dallas County, Texas. Florine Wiggins and Jesse Clovis Bagwell were divorced on 22 May 1974 at Tarrant County, Texas.

     Ruth Marie Martinez was born circa 1935. As of 11 January 1959,her married name was Bagwell. She married Jesse Clovis Bagwell, son of William Daniel Bagwell and Dora Blanche Moran, on 11 January 1959 at Dallas County, Texas. Ruth Marie Martinez died on 13 February 1973 in Arlington, Texas.

     Douglas Ray Bagwell is the son of Jesse Clovis Bagwell and Ruth Marie Martinez. Douglas Ray Bagwell married Millicent Ann Carr on 24 August 1984 at Tarrant County, Texas. Douglas Ray Bagwell married Elizabeth Cooper on 25 February 1989 at Groton, New London County, Connecticut.

     Millicent Ann Carr married Douglas Ray Bagwell, son of Jesse Clovis Bagwell and Ruth Marie Martinez, on 24 August 1984 at Tarrant County, Texas.

     Elizabeth Cooper married Douglas Ray Bagwell, son of Jesse Clovis Bagwell and Ruth Marie Martinez, on 25 February 1989 at Groton, New London County, Connecticut.

     Pamela Elaine Phipps married Clark Sanland Bagwell, son of Drury Graham Bagwell Sr and Bessie Gault Sanland, on 29 December 1970 at Knoxville, Tennessee.

     Cornelius G. Goff was born on 15 October 1867 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. He was the son of Philip Goff and Sarah F. Cain. Cornelius G. Goff married Minerva Addie Tingler in 1913. Cornelius G. Goff died on 19 June 1956 in Ritchie County, West Virginia, at age 88. He was buried at Bethany Cemetery, Harrisville, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Minerva Addie Tingler was born on 8 January 1872 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. As of 1913,her married name was Goff. She married Cornelius G. Goff, son of Philip Goff and Sarah F. Cain, in 1913. Minerva Addie Tingler died on 26 May 1958 in Ritchie County, West Virginia, at age 86. She was buried at Bethany Cemetery, Harrisville, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Narcissa Lurana Daugherty was born on 15 October 1868 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. As of 1890,her married name was Goff. She married George Lemuel Goff, son of Philip Goff and Sarah F. Cain, in 1890. Narcissa Lurana Daugherty died on 30 January 1950 in Ritchie County, West Virginia, at age 81. She was buried at Harrisville IOOF Cemetery, Harrisville, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Harley R. Goff was born on 27 June 1891 in Burnt House, Ritchie County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Lemuel Goff and Narcissa Lurana Daugherty. Harley R. Goff married Stella Britton after 1911. Harley R. Goff died on 1 October 1961 in Berea, Ritchie County, West Virginia, at age 70. He was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Berea, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Stella Britton was born in 1894. As of after 1911,her married name was Goff. She married Harley R. Goff, son of George Lemuel Goff and Narcissa Lurana Daugherty, after 1911. Stella Britton died on 23 August 1957 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. She was buried at Pine Grove Cemetery, Berea, Ritchie County, West Virginia.

     Stoka R. Goff was born on 13 August 1892 in Burnt House, Ritchie County, West Virginia. He was the son of George Lemuel Goff and Narcissa Lurana Daugherty. He served in the US Army during World War I. Stoka R. Goff married Roena Jane Dye in 1921. Stoka R. Goff died on 15 July 1988 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 95. He was buried at Evergreen Cemetery North, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.

     Roena Jane Dye was born on 4 September 1900 in Ritchie County, West Virginia. As of 1921,her married name was Goff. She married Stoka R. Goff, son of George Lemuel Goff and Narcissa Lurana Daugherty, in 1921. Roena Jane Dye died on 11 October 1985 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia, at age 85. She was buried at Evergreen Cemetery North, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia.

     Stoka Weldon Goff was born on 16 August 1923 in Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. He was the son of Stoka R. Goff and Roena Jane Dye. Stoka Weldon Goff married Bernice Marie Fortney in 1950. Stoka Weldon Goff died on 6 August 2007 in Ohio at age 83. He was buried at Rockland Cemetery, Belpre, Washington County, Ohio.
