She was a member for 51 years of the Eta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, serving as president from 1980-1984, and receiving the Order of the Rose in 2002. She was a member of Ben Avon Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Betty Bagwell Shuler of Columbia, SC; a niece, Betty Hauser Hammond of Spartanburg, who was her primary caregiver; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Weldon, Leroy, and Fred Bagwell; and a sister, Reba Hauser.
Visitation was held 1:00-2:30 PM, Friday, November 8, 2006, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
Graveside services followed at 3:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by the Rev. Larry R. Hyder.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to a charity or ministry of ones choice.

Left to cherish her memory are her two grandsons, Robert Shuler and Jeffery Shuler; niece, Sibyl Cooper (Ransom); as well as several other nieces and nephews.
