     Sherrie Ann Bagwell was born on 11 February 1957 in Selbyville, Sussex County, Delaware. She was the daughter of Timothy C. Bagwell and Shirley Jean Phillips. As of after 1976,her married name was Ellison. Sherrie Ann Bagwell married David Ellison after 1976. Sherrie Ann Bagwell died on 27 April 2025 in Frankford, Sussex County, Delaware, at age 68


Sherrie Ann Ellison, 68, of Frankford, Delaware, passed away peacefully at her home on April 27, 2025. Born on February 11, 1957, in Selbyville, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Timothy C. Bagwell and Shirley Jean Collick.

Sherrie was a graduate of Indian River High School and devoted her life to hard work and caring for others. She built a career in the cleaning industry, working in hotels in Ocean City before spending many years with Wilgus Cleaners in Selbyville until her retirement.

A woman of many interests and deep faith, Sherrie loved watching westerns, knitting, dancing, and hunting for bargains at local thrift shops. She was a longtime member of Power and Love Church in Dagsboro, where she faithfully worshiped and found joy in praising her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Sherrie was known for her warmth and generosity, and her kitchen was often the heart of family gatherings—especially during the holidays when her famous yeast rolls were a treasured staple. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren. Though she was gentle and humble, her family fondly remembers her signature "look" that quickly reminded everyone to stay in line.

In addition to her parents, Sherrie was preceded in death by her husband, David Ellison, and her sister, Vanessa Bratton.

She is survived by her beloved children: Marvin Phillips of Georgetown, DE; Shekeena Phillips of Frankford, DE; Romonda Phillips of Laurel, DE; and Samantrece Phillips. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Shazlyne Palmer, Khaila Taylor, Maya Phillips, Jomanda McDougale, Jalisha McDougale, James McDougale III, Montrail Taylor, Markel Bennett, Montel Bennett, and Taionna Jackson, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Sherrie Ann Ellison’s legacy of faith, love, and laughter lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

     Harry L. Collick was born circa 1939 in Frankford, Delaware. He married Shirley Jean Phillips. Harry L. Collick died on 28 April 1977.

     Eddie J. Bagwell was born on 12 January 1930 in Six Mile, Logan County, Arkansas. He was the son of Edward "Eddie" Bagwell and Viola Gussie Renfro. Eddie J. Bagwell died on 28 March 1930 in Six Mile, Logan County, Arkansas. He was buried on 29 March 1930 at Caulksville Cemetery, Caulksville, Logan County, Arkansas.

     William Terry Bagwell is the son of William Patrick Bagwell and Clorena Nix. William Terry Bagwell married Diana Christine Conner on 23 June 1972. William Terry Bagwell and Diana Christine Conner were divorced on 9 April 1991 at Buncombe County, North Carolina.

     Roy DeWayne Nelson was born on 4 March 1935. He married Sharron Kay Bagwell, daughter of John Hugie Bagwell and Dollie Caddell, after 1962. Roy DeWayne Nelson died on 6 February 1998 at age 62.

     Dr. Kenneth Hugh Bagwell was born on 7 September 1930 in Oklahoma. He was the son of John Hugie Bagwell and Dollie Caddell. Dr. Kenneth Hugh Bagwell married Diane Carol Wolfe on 3 August 1968 at Santa Barbara County, California. Dr. Kenneth Hugh Bagwell died on 12 April 2025 at age 94. He was buried on 2 May 2025 at Guadalupe Cemetery, Guadalupe, California.

     Diane Carol Wolfe married Dr. Kenneth Hugh Bagwell, son of John Hugie Bagwell and Dollie Caddell, on 3 August 1968 at Santa Barbara County, California.

     Brent Bagwell is the son of Lester Leroy Bagwell Sr. and Janette Marie Johnson. Brent Bagwell married Kelly Inlow after 1995.
