Columbiana – Graveside services were held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Midway Mennonite Cemetery for Gloria Ruth Bagwell, infant daughter of Brian K. and Dr. Brianne M. Witmer Bagwell who died shortly following birth on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman. Sean Kelly officiated and burial followed in the Midway Mennonite Cemetery.

Besides her parents, Gloria is survived by three sisters, Molly Bagwell, Sadie Bagwell, and Josie Bagwell, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Mark and Linda Witmer of Columbiana; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Catherine Bagwell of Canfield; maternal great grandmother, Barbara Witmer of Columbiana; and maternal great grandfather, Edgar Kurtz of Salem.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Warrrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

She was born on 11 October 2018 in Boardman, Mahoning County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Brian Kenneth Bagwell and Dr. Brianne Molly Witmer. Gloria Ruth Bagwell was buried at Midway Mennonite Church Cemetery, Mahoning County, Ohio.

     Dr. Todd Ramsey Bagwell is the son of Timothy Marvin Bagwell and Carole Ann Pistoe. Dr. Todd Ramsey Bagwell married Dr. Heide Marcia Middendorf on 7 September 2002 at Brownstown, Jackson County, Indiana.

     Mary Sloan was also known as Hattie Mary Sloan. She was born in 1913. As of after 1930,her married name was Bagwell. She married John Bagwell, son of Reverend King Marshall Bagwell and Lillian (?), after 1930. Mary Sloan died in 1988. She was buried at Chelten Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

     James Bagwell is the son of John Bagwell and Mary Sloan.

     Edna M. Bagwell is the daughter of John Bagwell and Mary Sloan.

     Lillie B. Bagwell is the daughter of John Bagwell and Mary Sloan.

James Donald Bagwell died on 21 March 1964 in Monaghan, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 55. He was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausoleum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Katherine Hughes was born on 12 August 1912 in Greer, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. As of after 1930,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Donald Bagwell, son of Donald Virice Bagwell and Hattie Lillian Waters, after 1930. Katherine Hughes died on 4 May 1995 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 82. She was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausoleum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     James Donald Bagwell was born on 4 February 1933 in Greenville County, South Carolina. He was the son of James Donald Bagwell and Katherine Hughes. James Donald Bagwell married Betty Jean Ward on 20 August 1952 at Greenville, South Carolina.¹ James Donald Bagwell died on 3 May 1988 in Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 55. He was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Betty Jean Ward was born on 23 June 1931. As of 20 August 1952,her married name was Bagwell. She married James Donald Bagwell, son of James Donald Bagwell and Katherine Hughes, on 20 August 1952 at Greenville, South Carolina.¹ Betty Jean Ward died on 12 March 1989 at age 57. She was buried at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.

     Toni Bagwell is the daughter of James Donald Bagwell and Betty Jean Ward. Toni Bagwell married Michael Freeman after 1970.

     Charles Frederick Bagwell was born on 10 February 1910 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Alfred Bagwell and Lillian Simon. He was in the US Army during World War II. Charles Frederick Bagwell died on 9 August 1998 at age 88. He was buried at Chelten Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
