Colton Samuel Bagwell, 27, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on April 1, 2023.

Colton was born in Dumas, Texas on January 16, 1996, to Heather Hagar and Russell Bagwell.
Colton was a remarkable person who lived his life with pride and passion. He was a proud member of the LGBTQ community and never shied away from expressing his true self. He had a deep interest in history and was always eager to learn more about the world around him. Colton was known for his kind and compassionate nature. He had a heart full of love and cared deeply for those around him. He was a loyal friend and a loving partner, and his presence brought joy and happiness to all who knew him.
Despite facing numerous challenges, Colton was determined to complete his GED and pursue his dreams of a career in computer science. He was driven by his love for technology and a desire to make a positive impact on the world.
Sadly, Colton's life was cut short, but his legacy lives on through the memories and love of those who knew him. He will always be remembered as a courageous and inspiring individual who lived life to the fullest and touched the hearts of many.

Sheridan Sue “Sherry” Bagwell

     Sheridan Sue “Sherry” Bagwell was born on 21 July 1945 in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida. She was the daughter of Captain Emory Ezekiel Bagwell and Dora Miram Goode. Sheridan Sue “Sherry” Bagwell died on 2 January 2019 in Lake City, Columbia County, Florida, at age 73


Sheridan S. Bagwell, 73, went to her heavenly home on January 2, 2019, after battling with cancer. Sheridan was born in Gainesville, FL to the late Miram Byrd and Emory "Zek" Bagwell. She grew up in Alachua County and resided there most of her life.

Sheridan was known by those close to her as someone you could always count on if you needed help with anything. Some of her most memorable accomplishments are that she fought many years for women's rights, she marched across the bridge in Selma, AL and went to Louisiana to assist with relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

Sheridan loved the outdoors, especially fishing or kayaking on the river. One of her best fishing stories was when she held the record for the largest Snook caught on Sanibel Island. She also had a great love for animals, particularly her cat, Bella.

She is survived by two sisters, Donna Curls (Darrell) of Live Oak, FL and Emelyn Palm of Williston, FL. She is also survived by two nephews, J.D. Curls (Jennifer) of Live Oak, FL and Karl Palm (Darci) of San Marcos, CA; 2 nieces, Sheridan Curls of Gainesville, FL and Kelsey Newsome (Jeremy) of Pikeville, NC; and 3 great nephews and 1 great niece, Jaylen, Max, Logan and Mallory.

As of after 1958,her married name was Coleman. Era Mae Bagwell married Carroll William Coleman Sr. after 1958. Era Mae Bagwell died on 9 July 2023 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at age 82

Era Mae Bagwell Coleman, 82, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Era was born January 27, 1941, in Winston-Salem, NC, a daughter to the late William Crayton Bagwell, Sr. and Maebelle McDaniel Bagwell. She was the widow of Carroll William Coleman, Sr.

A charter member of Covenant Baptist Church, Era attended the Joy Sunday School Class and visited the church’s homebound members. She was retired from the Spartanburg County Delinquent Tax Office.

Surviving is her daughter, Kristie Pruitt Martin (Evin); her sons, John Pruitt and George Pruitt (Margie); 5 grandchildren, Zach, Joshua, Allie, Seth and Matthew; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Bill Bagwell; her twin sister, Ruby Manly (Tom); and sisters, Dianne Graham, and Robbie Small (Johnson). Era was also predeceased by her sister, Lucy Evans and her husband, Glenn and her sister-in-law, Joan Bagwell.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Covenant Baptist Church, 200 Evangel Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral services will follow in the Church Sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 126 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385.
