Union Mills, NC - Bobbie Ann Bagwell Hargett died on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 1990 in the Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Native of Laurens, SC and daughter of the late John and Bertha Jones Bagwell. Retired textile employee. Survivors included: two daughters; two brothers; two sisters; and four grandchildren. She was 68 years of age at demise with interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Bagwell and Roscoe William Ward were divorced on 17 August 1959 at Rutherford County, North Carolina. As of after 1960,her married name was Shuler. Helen L. Bagwell married (?) Shuler after 1960. Helen L. Bagwell died on 10 June 2010 in North Carolina at age 90


Helen Ward Shuler, 90, of Carolina House, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at her daughter's home after declining health of two years.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Johnsontown United Methodist Church, 1057 Johnsontown Road, Thomasville, where she was a member, by Fred McClure.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home of her daughter on Arnold Road.

Mrs. Shuler was born on Sept. 4, 1919, in Laurens, S.C., to John and Bertha Bagwell. She moved to Thomasville in 1958 and worked at Carolina Underwear for 54 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jan McClure; a son, Herman Ward; daughter-in-law Linda Ward; and a great-granddaughter, Erin Rae Laxton.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Monson and husband Bubber of Welcome; son Jim Ward of Thomasville; daughter-in-law Pat Ward of Thomasville; son-in-law Fred McClure of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Jamie Thomas, Steven Monson, David McClure, Shonda White, Tonya Laxton, Jason Ward, Patti Ward and Laura Ward; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Carolina House, Hinkle Hospice House and special friend Vivian Broadway for the care they gave to Helen.

Bagwell were divorced on 17 August 1959 at Rutherford County, North Carolina. Roscoe William Ward died on 31 August 1993 at age 71.

     Ruby Elizabeth Crain was born on 16 October 1924. As of 23 December 1945,her married name was Bagwell. She married Lewis Hobson Bagwell Jr., son of Lewis Hobson Bagwell Sr. and Eunice Elizabeth Painter, on 23 December 1945 at Greenville, South Carolina. Ruby Elizabeth Crain died on 26 January 2011 in Virginia at age 86. She was buried at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, Montgomery County, Virginia.

     Infant Male Bagwell died on 29 April 1925. He was born on 29 April 1925. He was the son of Lewis Hobson Bagwell Sr. and Eunice Elizabeth Painter.

     Hellon Harris was also known as Helen Harris. She was born on 7 April 1930 in Rutherford County, South Carolina. As of circa 1948,her married name was Bagwell. She married Lewis Herman Bagwell, son of John Olen Bagwell and Bertha Lee Jones, circa 1948. Hellon Harris died on 1 June 2015 in Henderson County, North Carolina, at age 85


Hellon Harris Bagwell, age 85 of Forest City died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Brian Center in Hendersonville, NC. She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late William and Cora Funderburke Harris.

Hellon was a member of Missionary Wesleyan Church in Forest City and retired from Spindale Mills Corporation. She also enjoyed working as a volunteer in the Rutherford Hospital Auxiliary where she served for ten years. Her husband, Lewis Herman Bagwell preceded her in death in 2010.

Survivors include her son, Von Bagwell and wife Trudy of Mt. Holly, NC, a sister, Bobbie Harris Vickers and husband Clyde of Forest City, grandson, Eric Bagwell of Mt. Holly and two great-grandchildren, Kali Bagwell and Zack Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday, June 5, 2015 in the Missionary Wesleyan Church with Reverend Steve Beam officiating. Interment will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from five until seven o'clock Thursday evening at Padgett and King. Memorials may be made to Missionary Wesleyan Church, 811 Doggett Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

     Deonna Donnell Goodrum was born on 7 July 1963 in West Columbia, Brazoria County, Texas. As of 27 July 1981,her married name was Bagwell. She married Gary Dean Bagwell, son of Gary Ladoyle Bagwell and Lynda Ann Hammond, on 27 July 1981 at Matagorda County, Texas. Deonna Donnell Goodrum and Gary Dean Bagwell were divorced on 10 August 1993 at Brazoria County, Texas. Deonna Donnell Goodrum died on 28 September 1997 in Brazoria, Brazoria County, Texas, at age 34. She was buried on 3 October 1997 at Columbia Cemtery, West Columbia, Brazoria County, Texas.

     Stacey Lynn Bagwell is the daughter of Gary Dean Bagwell and Deonna Donnell Goodrum.

Guy Nolan Bagwell married Bonnie Fae Baugh on 18 November 1966. Guy Nolan Bagwell married Sarilee Roberts on 24 January 1987 at Tarrant County, Texas.
