     Valentine Burgett was born on 8 June 1773 in Virginia.¹ He was the son of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence.¹ Valentine Burgett married Mary G. Lane on 14 October 1799.^1,2 Valentine Burgett died on 4 June 1829 in Butler County, Ohio, at age 55.¹ He was buried at Burget Cemetery, Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Mary G. Lane was born on 16 March 1778 in Pennsylvania.¹ As of 14 October 1799,her married name was Burgett. She married Valentine Burgett, son of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence, on 14 October 1799.^2,1 Mary G. Lane died on 24 July 1855 in Georgetown, Brown County, Pennsylvania, at age 77.¹ She was buried at Burget Cemetery, Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Valentine Burgett was also known as Felty Burgett. He was born in 1745 in Washington County, Maryland.¹ He married Rosa Barbara Lawrence before 1770. He was a Revolutionary War Veteran. Valentine Burgett died in 1815 in Brown County, Ohio.¹ He was buried at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery, Levanna, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Jacob William Leibenguth was born on 21 June 1892. He married Marguerite Bagwell, daughter of George Coleman Bagwell and Mary Jane Higgens, before 1920. Jacob William Leibenguth was buried on 14 June 1950. He was buried at Roselawn Memorial Park, La Salle, Monroe County, Michigan.

     Nancy Barbary Burgett was born on 2 February 1770 in Lee County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence.¹ As of before 1795,her married name was Rogers. Nancy Barbary Burgett married Thomas Rogers before 1795.¹ Nancy Barbary Burgett died on 23 January 1858 in Van Wert County, Ohio, at age 87.¹ She was buried at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery, Levanna, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Thomas Rogers was born on 16 February 1767 in Lee County, Virginia. He married Nancy Barbary Burgett, daughter of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence, before 1795.¹ Thomas Rogers died on 3 August 1850 at age 83. He was buried at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery, Levanna, Brown County, Ohio.

     Elizabeth Burgett was born on 11 December 1788 in Hampshire, Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence.¹ As of 25 December 1806,her married name was Frost. Elizabeth Burgett married James Frost on 25 December 1806.¹ Elizabeth Burgett died on 15 September 1842 at age 53.¹ She was buried at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery, Levanna, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Rosa Barbara Lawrence married Valentine Burgett before 1770.

     James Frost was born on 15 September 1780 in Fayette County, Pennsylvannia. He married Elizabeth Burgett, daughter of Valentine Burgett and Rosa Barbara Lawrence, on 25 December 1806.¹ James Frost died on 29 July 1872 in Brown County, Ohio, at age 91. He was buried at Pisgah Ridge Cemetery, Levanna, Brown County, Ohio.

     Hannah Burgett was born on 28 January 1802. She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane.

     Elizabeth Burgett was born in 1804. She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane.

     Lettice "Letty" Burgett was born on 24 July 1807 in Brown County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane. As of 16 December 1824,her married name was Letty Work. Lettice "Letty" Burgett married Robert Work (?) on 16 December 1824 at Brown County, Ohio. Lettice "Letty" Burgett died in Nineveh, Johnson County, Indiana.

     Mary Burgett was born on 3 October 1810. She was the daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane. As of after 1827,her married name was Mann. Mary Burgett married Jonas Mann after 1827.

     Samuel Burgett was born on 25 January 1812.¹ He was the son of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane.¹ Samuel Burgett died on 26 February 1885 at age 73.¹ He was buried at Burget Cemetery, Georgetown, Brown County, Ohio.¹

     Robert Work (?) was born on 4 October 1797 in Brown County, Ohio. He married Lettice "Letty" Burgett, daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane, on 16 December 1824 at Brown County, Ohio. Robert Work (?) died on 15 January 1888 in Nineveh, Johnson County, Indiana, at age 90. He was buried at Lickspring Baptist Church Cemetery, Trafalgar, Johnson County, Indiana.

     Jonas Mann married Mary Burgett, daughter of Valentine Burgett and Mary G. Lane, after 1827.

     Bonnie Lucille Donley married Bobby Eugene Bagwell, son of Henry Walter Bagwell and Isabella Sprinkle, in August 1961 at Hillsborough County, Florida. Bonnie Lucille Donley and Bobby Eugene Bagwell were divorced on 27 January 1976 at Polk County, Florida.

     Francis Christine Robinson married Bobby Eugene Bagwell, son of Henry Walter Bagwell and Isabella Sprinkle, before 1955.

     Bobby Eugene "Robert" Bagwell was born on 20 October 1955. He was the son of Bobby Eugene Bagwell and Francis Christine Robinson. Bobby Eugene "Robert" Bagwell married Brenda (?) after 1973. Bobby Eugene "Robert" Bagwell died on 12 September 2024 in Jasper, Alabama, at age 68


Bobby Eugene "Robert" Bagwell Jr., 68, of Jasper, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024, at his residence.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 9 a.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at East Dora Cemetery. Tommy Graves will officiate.

Mr. Bagwell was preceded in death by his mother, Francis Christine Robinson Downs; dad, Bobby Eugene Bagwell Sr; stepdad, James Downs; grandson, Robert Dewayne Reeves Jr; aunts, Dean Fikes, Sally Bagwell and Maldean Bagwell; uncle, AB Bagwell; wife, Yvonne Barnes; and son-in-law, Jamie Dill.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Brenda Bagwell; daughters, Mandy Dill and Angel Leigh Bagwell Reeves; son, Brandon Cody Bagwell; sisters, Christy Ryland, Sandra Wright, Susan Wesson and Janet Niecamp; brothers, Ray Bagwell, Jackie Downs and Stanley Downs; grandchildren, Destiny Ball and Kelvin Dill; great-grandchildren, Emma Ball and Michael Ball; and a host of family and friends.


He was buried on 19 September 2024 at East Dora Cemetery, Dora, Walker County, Alabama.

     Peggy Renee Rains married Robert Thomas Bagwell Jr., son of Robert Thomas Bagwell and Lt. Amelia Beatrice Noga, on 1 July 1989 at Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

     Laura Ann Bray married Jeffrey Douglas Bagwell, son of John Wilson Bagwell and Winnie Louise Ramsey, on 1 September 1990 at Anderson County, Tennessee.
