Doris Franklin Bagwell, age 90, of Adger, AL., passed away on November 17, 2024. She was a longtime member of Oak Grove First Baptist Church. She retired from the auto industry as a switchboard operator with 25 years of service. She loved to go camping and fishing with her husband. Also , was an avid gardener. She loved her church family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bagwell, parents, Van and Avice Franklin, daughter, Debra Pitts, brother, Dennis Franklin. She is survived by her son, Kenny (Cindy) Hamaker, grandchildren, David Scott (Denise) Worthen, Guy Worthen, Dawn (Brandon) Northcutt, Dustin (Suzy) Hamaker, several great grandchildren, 6 sisters, Betty (Carroll) Clifton, Patsy (JD) Johnson, Hester Barton, Kay (Randal) Norris, Myra (Tim) Aycock, Connie (Steve) Syx, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Oak Grove First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Bro. Lee Praytor will be officiating the service.
