     Linda A. Allen was born on 27 August 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia. As of October 1956,her married name was Bagwell. She married Charles Thomas Bagwell Sr., son of Paul Horace Bagwell and Annie Ruth Gray, in October 1956. Linda A. Allen died on 28 September 2020 in Marengo, Morrow County, Ohio, at age 79


Linda A. Bagwell, age 79, of Marengo, OH, formerly of Roswell, GA, and Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 28, 2020, at the Bennington Glen Care Center with her loving son by her side following an extended illness.

On August 27, 1941, Linda was born in Atlanta, Georgia, one of two daughters of the late Verlon H. and Katherine (Echols) Allen. She attended North Fulton High School in the. She furthered her education at Devry Business School, where she earned a bachelors degree in accounting.

Linda married the love of her life, Charles T. Bagwell Sr., in October of 1956. They shared 54 years of marriage, and raised four children: Charles Jr. “Woody”, Gary, Kelly, and Rusty. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2009.

A loving homemaker, Linda took pride in caring for her husband and children. Over the years, she also worked on and off as a bookkeeper taking care of several businesses.

Always helping her husband, Charlie, however she could, Linda often helped with his community projects through his work at the bank. They were active with the Jaycees and Jaycettes, and helped with Secret Santa every year. They also were members of the First Baptist Church in Roswell, GA. She loved her neighbors and friends.

A true “southern belle”, Linda was one of the sweetest, most hospitable women you could ever meet. She was an amazing cook, always putting together special homemade meals for her family, friends, and always had cake and pies for the kids in the neighborhood. It was impossible to leave her house without a full stomach. She also had a green thumb, planting flowers and tending to her rose bed. She always pickled and canned from the family garden for the family to enjoy all year long.

With a love for the outdoors, Linda enjoyed camping with the family and later in life she and her husband enjoyed touring in their motorhome. Some of the favorite spots include the Smokemont Campground and visiting Live Oaks Florida. Linda had a passion for trout fishing, especially the Chattahoochee River, and was something she often took her grandchildren along to share in that experience.

Always smiling, Linda brought joy with her everywhere she went. She had a knack for making everything enjoyable for everyone and everyone was at home with Linda.

She will be dearly missed by her four children: Woody Bagwell of Cardington, OH, Gary (Candy) Bagwell of Nashville, TN, Kelly (Robert) Stewart of Dahalonega, GA, and Rusty (Erin) Bagwell of Knoxville, TN; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Jones.

Her family will greet friends from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming, GA 30040. Services honoring her life will follow at 1 PM with burial after in Powder Springs City Cemetery in Powder Springs, Georgia.

     Joseph Oliver Bagwell is the son of Franklin O. Bagwell and Mamie Ellis. Joseph Oliver Bagwell married Lottie Ayscue Gray after 1950.¹

     Robert Washington Mitchell was born on 22 November 1877. He married Jessie V. Bagwell, daughter of Samuel Jones Bagwell and Eugenia Valentine Harrison, after 1895. Robert Washington Mitchell died on 22 April 1975 at age 97.

     Franklin O. Bagwell was born in 1911 in Georgia.¹ He was the son of Ollie Fuller Bagwell and Dora Idella Smith. Franklin O. Bagwell married Mamie Ellis on 21 June 1930 at Paulding County, Georgia. Franklin O. Bagwell died in 1985.¹ He was buried at Melrose Hills Memorial Park, Paulding County, Georgia.¹

     Mamie Ellis was born in 1910.¹ As of 21 June 1930,her married name was Bagwell. She married Franklin O. Bagwell, son of Ollie Fuller Bagwell and Dora Idella Smith, on 21 June 1930 at Paulding County, Georgia. Mamie Ellis died on 18 November 2007 in Georgia
Mamie E. Bagwell, age 97, of Jonesboro, passed away, Sunday, November 18, 2007. She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Jack and Pat Bagwell of Jonesboro, Joe and Lottie Bagwell of Covington; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held, Tues, Nov 20, 2007, at 11 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Chris Reynolds will officiate. Mrs. Bagwell will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 3 PM Tues at Melrose Cemetery in New Georgia. The family will receive friends TODAY, Monday, Nov 19, 2007 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Lottie Gray Ayscue Bagwell, age 84 of Covington, GA passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 after a 20 year battle with Alzheimer's. She was a woman after God's own heart. Her life was a reflection of how well she loved her Lord as she served others selflessly. He married Susie Cook on 2 December 1900 at Conway County, Arkansas.² George Washington Bagwell died on 9 October 1967 in Memorial Hospital, Hayti, Pemiscot County, Missouri, at age 86.¹ He was buried on 11 October 1967 at Garden Point Cemetery, Etowah, Mississippi County, Arkansas.¹

     Susie Cook was born in 1878.¹ As of 2 December 1900,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married George Washington Bagwell on 2 December 1900 at Conway County, Arkansas.¹ Susie Cook died in 1932.¹ She was buried at Garden Point Cemetery, Etowah, Mississippi County, Arkansas.¹

     William Arthur Bagwell was born on 4 February 1906 in Cass, Franklin County, Arkansas.¹ He was the son of George Washington Bagwell and Susie Cook.¹ William Arthur Bagwell married Celia Mae Pryor on 25 October 1933 at Osceola, Arkansas.¹ William Arthur Bagwell died on 30 October 1983 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee, at age 77
Services for William Arthur Bagwell were held Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in the John W. German Home chapel in Hayti with Donny Morrison officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bagwell died Oct. 30, 1983 in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 77.

He is survived by his wife, Celia Mae Bagwell of Hayti; two sons, William Raymond Bagwell of Justice, Ill., and Larry Bagwell of Kennett; three daughters, Ida Sue Morgan of Davison, Mich., Lanell Brown of Camden, Tenn., and Joyce Brown of Hayti; one brother, Iva Bagwell of Jonesboro, Ark., one sister, Geraldine Watkins of Hayti; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were George Camp, Maurice Camp, Troy Grissom, Oddie Brown, John A Tompson and Bob Turnage.

Born June 18, 1917 in Elijah, Mo., she is the daughter of the late William and Ida Bell Davis Pryor.
She was a devoted housewife and loving mother and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Hayti, Mo.
On October 25, 1933 she was united in marriage in Osceola, Ark. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1983. She is also preceded in death by one son, Raymond Bagwell, one grandchild, four sisters, one brother and one half brother.
Survivors include one son, Larry Bagwell of Hayti; three daughters, Sue Jackson of Hayti, Lanell Brown of Camden, Tenn. and Joyce Darnell of Hayti; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Mills of Flint, Mich; one half sister, Mrs. Essie Pryor of Lepanto, Ark., nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held April 30 at 2 p.m. in The John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with Rev. Charles Darnell officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
Pallbearers were John Q. Thompson, Carl Gunn, Chris Brown, Josh Brown, Billy Joe Robinson, Johnnie McCulloch and Dean Warren.
