     Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. was born on 4 July 1932 in Ackerman, Mississippi. He was the son of Maxie Lee Bagwell and Alma Lee. Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. married Dora Vaughan on 13 May 1956 at Choctaw County, Mississippi. Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. died on 1 March 2006 in Greenwood, Mississippi, at age 73. He was buried on 3 March 2006 at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Greenwood, Mississippi.

     Dora Vaughan was born on 1 August 1937 in Eupora, Mississippi. As of 13 May 1956,her married name was Bagwell. She married Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr., son of Maxie Lee Bagwell and Alma Lee, on 13 May 1956 at Choctaw County, Mississippi. Dora Vaughan died on 26 September 2023 in Carroll County, Mississippi, at age 86

Dora Vaughan Bagwell, 85, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home in Carroll County, MS, with her family by her side. Services are 11 A.M. Thursday, September 29 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis McKay and Dr. Jimmy Dukes officiating. Interment is 3 P.M. at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery near Walthall, MS. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.

Dora was born in Eupora to Ola and Beulah Sewell Vaughan, raised in Walthall and graduated from Eupora High School. After her marriage to Maxie Lee Bagwell they moved to Greenwood where they made their home. She had worked for City Finance and Billups Petroleum Company and was bookkeeper for her husband. In 1974 they purchased their Sonic Drive In and grew the company into BBWI which owned and operated numerous restaurants throughout the southeastern United States. She was a longtime faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains in her camper, gardening, growing flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Joey Winstead and three grandchildren, Erin Michael Winstead, Ryan Bagwell and Claire Bagwell. She is survived by special friend, William Davis; two daughters, Sheila Bagwell Winstead of Winona, Pat Bagwell Irwin (Bubba) of Carrollton; a son, James Richard “Ricky” Bagwell (Donna) of Carrollton; six grandchildren, Ray Winstead (April) of Winona, Erin W. Estrada (Nick) of Winona, Dr. Emily Broadway (Dr. Rand) of Lubbock, TX, Brooks Irwin (Andrea) of Carrollton, David Bagwell (Becca) of Madison, Lauren Bagwell of Baton Rouge, LA, and11 great grandchildren; Ryan Winstead of Winona, Madilynn Estrada of Winona, Emma Estrada of Winona, Connor Broadway of Lubbock, TX, Mason Broadway of Lubbock, TX, Boone Broadway of Lubbock, TX, James Irwin of Carrollton, Beckett Irwin of Carrollton, Aubrey Bagwell of Madison, Ryan Bagwell of Madison, and Ansley Bagwell of Madison, MS

Pallbearers are her grandson and nephews, Ray Winstead, David Bagwell, Brooks Irwin, Stan Chamblee, William Vaughan and Michael Britt. Honorary pallbearers are Bryan Thornhill, Tommy McCrory, Denny Wallace, Dave Morrow, and Kip McShaw.

The family wishes to offer a special word of thanks to Glenda Branch for her loving care and friendship.

She was buried on 29 September 2023 at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, near Walthall, Mississippi.

     Patricia Lee Bagwell is the daughter of Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. and Dora Vaughan. Patricia Lee Bagwell married James Irwin on 7 May 1983 at Immanual Baptist Church, Greenwood, Mississippi.

     Shelia Bagwell is the daughter of Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. and Dora Vaughan. Shelia Bagwell married Joey Winstead in July 1977 at Immanual Baptist Church, Greenwood, Mississippi.

     Donna Faith Hayes married James Richard Bagwell, son of Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. and Dora Vaughan, on 3 September 1983 at Greenwood, Mississippi.

     Joey Winstead married Shelia Bagwell, daughter of Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. and Dora Vaughan, in July 1977 at Immanual Baptist Church, Greenwood, Mississippi.

     James Irwin married Patricia Lee Bagwell, daughter of Maxie Lee Bagwell Jr. and Dora Vaughan, on 7 May 1983 at Immanual Baptist Church, Greenwood, Mississippi.

     Patti (?) married James Bagwell, son of John Lee Bagwell Jr. and Lena Delores Dempsey, after 1976.

     Todd A. Shelttles married Tiffany Jean Bagwell, daughter of Tommy Leroy Bagwell and Jean Elizabeth Lyons, on 21 August 1999 at Pulaski County, Arkansas.

     Lawrence D. Rinehart married Tammy Denise Bagwell, daughter of Billy Eugene Bagwell and Bessie Ruth Bass, on 4 September 1982 at Orange County, Texas. Lawrence D. Rinehart and Tammy Denise Bagwell were divorced on 10 April 1987 at Orange County, Texas.

     Anita (?) married William Thomas Bagwell, son of Thomas William Bagwell and Lois Sanders, before 1968. Anita (?) and an unknown person were divorced on 20 August 1969 at Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

     Diane Marie Bagwell is the daughter of William Thomas Bagwell and Anita (?) Diane Marie Bagwell married Christo Williams on 20 August 1988 at Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

     Evie Bagwell was born in April 1866 in Georgia. She was the daughter of Pleasant Bagwell and Caroline Mayfield.

     Mary Bell (?) was also known as Belle (?) She was born in April 1877. She was born on 20 October 1878. She was born on 13 January 1897 in Georgia. As of circa 1920,her married name was Bagwell. She married Florence Bagwell, son of Pleasant Bagwell and Caroline Mayfield, circa 1920 at abt 1920. Mary Bell (?) died on 10 August 1928 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at age 31. She was buried on 7 February 1957 at South View Cemetery, Fulton County, Georgia.

     Michael Christopher Bagwell is the son of Thomas Kirk Bagwell and Rebecca Ann Henniger. Michael Christopher Bagwell married Julie E. Agriesti on 30 August 1994 at Franklin County, Ohio. Michael Christopher Bagwell and Julie E. Agriesti were divorced on 3 June 1997 at Franklin County, Ohio.

     Julie E. Agriesti married Michael Christopher Bagwell, son of Thomas Kirk Bagwell and Rebecca Ann Henniger, on 30 August 1994 at Franklin County, Ohio. Julie E. Agriesti and Michael Christopher Bagwell were divorced on 3 June 1997 at Franklin County, Ohio.

     Douglas Larksman Herrell married Tammy Evelyn Bagwill, daughter of Harold Glenn Bagwill and Joyce Evelyn Patterson, on 1 July 1981 at Smith County, Texas.

     Rebecca Joyce Bagwell was born circa 1964. She was the daughter of William Oliver Bagwell Sr. and Wanda Joyce Middlebrooks. As of after 1982,her married name was Sears. Rebecca Joyce Bagwell married (?) Sears after 1982. Rebecca Joyce Bagwell died before 2023.

     Dorothy Sawyer was born on 9 May 1918 in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia. As of 30 August 1941,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Haynes Bagwell, son of William Lee Bagwell and Jerusha Malinda Haynes, on 30 August 1941 at Anderson, South Carolina. Dorothy Sawyer died on 5 January 2009 at age 90. She was buried at Macon Memorial Park, Macon, Bibb County, Georgia.

     William Haynes Bagwell Jr. was born on 20 June 1942. He was the son of William Haynes Bagwell and Dorothy Sawyer. William Haynes Bagwell Jr. died on 4 October 2013 in Ball Ground, Georgia, at age 71.

     Sandy Bagwell is the daughter of William Haynes Bagwell and Dorothy Sawyer.
