     John Cleveland McCarter was born on 8 November 1848 in Georgia. He married Martha C. Bagwell, daughter of Albert Galliton Bagwell and Rebecca "Jane" G. Walker, in 1886.¹ John Cleveland McCarter died on 1 February 1908 in Franklin County, Georgia, at age 59.

     Grace Laneta Bagwell was born on 28 October 1882 in Salem, Marion County, Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Smith W. Bagwell and Nancy Drucilla Harmon. As of after 1930,her married name was Smith.¹ Orean Bagwell married Dale Smith after 1930.¹ Orean Bagwell died on 18 July 2010 in Oklahoma City, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, at age 95 Orean Smith went to be with her Lord and Savior July 18, 2010 at the age of 95. She was born December 3, 1914 in New Ark, Arkansas to Allen and Myra Bagwell. Orean was a tireless, selfless, generous lady whose priorities were faith and family. She married Dale Smith December 22, 1936 and they had four children. Besides being a homemaker, Orean was a market research interviewer who enjoyed cooking, needlework, gardening and genealogy.

Born in Lowndesville, S.C., a daughter of the late Jesse and Nelly Jane Bonds Parnell, Mrs. Bagwell was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Street Baptist Church, where she attended the T.E.L. Sunday School Class for forty-three years, and was a volunteer at the Fountain Inn Senior Action Center for eighteen years.

Surviving are a daughter, Jane Bagwell, of the home; two sons, Clyde Bagwell and his wife, June, and David Bagwell and his wife, Sherrie, all of Fountain Inn; three grandchildren, Wendy Barbery, Tommy Bagwell and Steven Bagwell, all of Fountain Inn; six grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers. Mrs. Bagwell was predeceased by a sister and six brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, July 12, 2004, at Fairview Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Pigg and the Rev. Mike Bearden officiating. Burial will be at Cannon Memorial Park in Fountain Inn. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Cannon Funerals and Cremations in Fountain Inn. She was buried at Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, Abbeville County, South Carolina.

David Allen Bagwell married Sherrie Jean Craine on 3 February 1979 at Greenville County, South Carolina. FOUNTAIN INN, SC - Mrs. Will O'Nell Brashier, 82, of Fountain Inn, S.C. passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, in Fountain Inn. She was born Oct. 27, 1926, in Laurens County, S.C. a daughter of the late Hitch and Noree Curry Bagwell and was the widow of Claude William Brashier. Mrs. Brashier was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had worked for Beaunit Textiles, Fountain Inn and with Wilson Sporting Goods until her retirement.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Maxie and Regenia Brashier of Greenville; granddaughter and grandson-in-law Nandenia and Sammy Holt, Jr. of Greenville; great grandchildren Sammy Holt, III and Melissa Holt; great great grandchildren Skylar and Cheyenne Holt.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Whitt officiating with Interment to follow in Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, SC. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Cannon Funeral Home, Fountain Inn, SC. She was buried at Cannon Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, Greenville County, South Carolina.
