Bagwell married Solomon E. Anglin after 1895. Mary M. Bagwell died on 14 March 1951 at age 73. She was buried at Starr Cemetery, Canton, Van Zandt County, Texas.

     Daniel L. Bagwell was born in February 1882. He was the son of Hezekiah Calhoun Bagwell and Margaret Hardin.

     John Streeter Bagwell was born on 23 September 1888 in Van Zandt County, Texas. He was the son of Hezekiah Calhoun Bagwell and Margaret Hardin. John Streeter Bagwell married Ruth E.      Elizabeth Brickey was born circa 1840 in Arkansas.¹ As of 7 January 1868,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Andrew Jackson Bagwell, son of Wiley Bagwell and Lucretia York, on 7 January 1868 at Arkansas.¹ Elizabeth Brickey and Andrew Jackson Bagwell lived in 1870 in Reeds Creek, Lawrence County, Arkansas.¹

     Jesse Marion Bagwell was born on 11 January 1869 in Strawberry, Lawrence County, Arkansas.¹ He was the son of Andrew Jackson Bagwell and Elizabeth Brickey.¹ Jesse Marion Bagwell married Mary Ellen Whaley on 31 March 1891 at Baxter County, Arkansas. Jesse Marion Bagwell died on 8 October 1941 in Izard, Arkansas, at age 72

Funeral Held Friday

Funeral services were held Friday, October 10, for J. M. (Jesse) Bagwell, who died at his home here Wednesday. Services were conducted by Rev. D. E. Steely and interment was in the Katy cemetery, near Culp.

Mr. Bagwell was born at Strawberry, Lawrence County, Ark. He was 72 years, 8 months and 27 days old.

On the 31st day of March 1891, he was married to Miss Ella Whaley. To this union thirteen children were born, eleven surviving, two having preceded him in death several years ago.

In 1909 he united with the Missionary Baptist church of which he was a very active member. He has lived in and near Calico Rock all his life.

Surviving are: his widow and children, Mrs. Fannie White, Ranger, Texas; W. S. Bagwell, Culp, Ark; Mrs. Julia Teague, Culp, Ark; Mrs. Minnie Fletcher, Cartney, Ark; Mrs. Eula Pinkston, Shoffner, Ark; Mrs. Beulah Branscum, Culp, Ark; Alvin Bagwell, Chicago, Ill; Haywood Bagwell, San Antonio, Texas; Willard Bagwell, Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Mattie Neldon, Auvergne, Ark; and Lee Bagwell, Texas City, Texas. Also two brothers, Jack and Jim Bagwell, Tupelo, Ark; and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Coats, Flippin, Ark; and Mrs. Hester Wyatt, Culp, Ark., Thirty–four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives who mourn his passing.

Pall bearers were: Jesse A. Jeffery, Frank Killian, Jewell Stevens, F. E. Stoner, Henry Berry and Tom Marchant.


He was buried at Curtis, Izard County, Arkansas.
