Mr. Dalton Glenn Bagwell 85 of Dover, passed away on November 14, 2020 at his home. He was born April 30, 1935, son of the late Troy and Gerline Vaughn Bagwell. He was a member of the Wyatt’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and song leader for many years and a member of the Indian Mound Masonic Lodge. He worked thirty-nine years with the Town of Dover, served fourteen years as Deputy for the Stewart County Sheriff’s Department during which time he was appointed and served 3 months as Sheriff. He also worked as an EMT for the Stewart County Ambulance Service for many years and he founded and created the Stewart County Rescue Squad where he served as Captain for 30 years with a total of 36 years of service the Rescue Squad.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Howell Bagwell, Jerry Bagwell and a sister Thelma Bagwell Byrd. He married his loving wife of 53 years, Earlene Reed Bagwell on June 30, 1967. He is survived by one son Michael Bagwell (Cindy) and one daughter Melinda Bagwell Holliday (Bob). Two grandsons Adam Bagwell (Cassie) and Troy Bagwell (Cassie). Two great granddaughters Elizabeth Bagwell and Emma Bagwell. Great grandson Waylon Bagwell and a Great grandson due in December 2020.
Due to the pandemic a graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 with the Reverend Paul Edwards officiating at Stewart County Memorial Gardens including a Masonic service. We encourage all who are comfortable attending please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Pallbearers will be Adam Bagwell, Troy Bagwell, Nathan Boone, Bob Holliday, Tony Miller, and Jimmy Scurlock.

Mrs. Byrd spent many years at the Department of Human Services as a Child Abuse case worker. She was a graduate of both Stewart County High School and Austin Peay State University.
She married her husband of 61 years, Jimmie B. Byrd, on Dec. 23, 1952. He preceded her in death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Howell Bagwell, Jerry Bagwell, and a son-in-law, Michael W. Willis.
She is survived by one daughter, Joy Byrd Willis and grandson Matthew Willis and wife, Jordan, all of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Dalton Bagwell and wife, Earlene, of Dover, TN and many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Bagwell, 87, of Louisville, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2004. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and retired from Enro Shirt Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Bagwell; her daughter, Charlotte Mattingly; her son, Thomas Bagwell; her granddaughter, Jan Ernspiker; and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine & John Yuhas; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved pet, Lady. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. Sunday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Kentucky Humane Society.
She was buried at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery, Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky.

She was born in Loretta, Ky. In her early years she was a songwriter, played guitar and sang in a country band. Later in life she was a member of the Red Hatter’s Club and enjoyed playing bingo, crafts and gardening.
She is survived by five children, Thomas Cleveland Bagwell, Jr. (Linda), Frances Pamela Cox, both of Louisville, Stephen J. Bagwell of Lawrenceburg, James Bagwell (Denita) of Florida, and Lisa Bagwell Turner of Lawrenceburg; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters, Carmen Cahoe, Bonnie Mattingly, Sharmine Denkoff. She was predeceased by five brothers and three sisters.
Services were held March 26 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Fr. Noel F. Zamora officiating. Cremation followed services.
Honorary bearers were Bryan S. Turner, Zachary Turner, Hunter Bagwell, T.C. Bagwell, Jacob Batovsky and Frankie Edward Dahl. Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice.
She was buried at Saint Augustine Church Cemetery, Lebanon, Marion County, Kentucky.

Will Clarmond Bagwell married Doris Kate Johnson on 2 April 1946 at Little River County, Arkansas. Will Clarmond Bagwell married Effie M. Branch after 1947. Will Clarmond Bagwell died on 14 April 2014 in Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, at age 94. He was buried at Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina.
