He had many close friends and was assisted by many close friends. He loved going to the cabin along the Brazos River when he was able and loved living at the family ranch in Los Cerritos. He enjoyed trips with Scott Sowards over the years, traveling as far as Tahiti.
He is survived by brothers: Tom Bagwell (Barbara) and Lee Bagwell (Grace) of Manassa, Colorado and sister, Barbara Gay Goddard (Dave) of Castle Rock, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and great-niece, Kristi Bagwell.
At his request, cremation was chosen and no funeral services will be held. His ashes will be scattered at the ranch in Los Cerritos.
He was buried at New Manassa Cemetery, Manassa, Conejos County, Colorado.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday January 24th at 1:00 p.m. in the Orlinda Methodist Cemetery on Elm Springs Road in Orlinda with Pastor Lance Wamble officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Lackey, Mason Lackey, Jamie Adams, Tyler Sneed, Shane Hand, and John Bartee. There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Adams was born September 20, 1932 in Springfield. She was a homemaker and a member of Orlinda Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Thomas “Jack” Adams, by her parents: Floyd and Veida Smith Bagwell, by her brother: Floyd Bagwell, Jr., by her sister: Velma McKinney, and by her niece: Linda Hand.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter: Jackie Adams and Buddy Sneed of Springfield, by her nieces: Dana Jennings, Terri Watts, and Carol Owens, by her nephews: Jamie Adams, Bill McKinney, and Tommy McKinney, and by special friends: Josh, Erin, Mason, and Peyton Lackey.

David Brent Bagwell, 51, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 27th, 2021 at his home. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Jerry David “Danny” Bagwell and Ruth Clippard Bagwell. Brent was a long-time member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church of Kings Mountain. Brent attended North Carolina State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Education and a Minor in Business Management. While he was at NC State, he was a member of the Wolfpack football team. After his playing career came to an end, he started a career in coaching and became a graduate assistant football coach at NC State, and TCU. He then went on to coach at Newberry College, Virginia Military Institute, and Lenoir-Rhyne University. He also coached football at North Gaston, and Kings Mountain High Schools helping lead North Gaston to the State Championship game in 2007. Always active in sports and his children’s lives, Brent coached his sons and daughter in many sports including baseball, softball, volleyball and basketball for many years. Throughout his life he coached many other young men where he played a vital role in developing them on and off of the field. Brent was employed with Mohawk Industries as Senior Vice President of the Builder/Multifamily division. Brent enjoyed serving the community and did it in many ways including serving on the board at the Kings Mountain YMCA and the Kings Mountain Country Club. Brent was also a leader within his church. One of his greatest honors was being inducted into the Kings Mountain Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Brent was a wonderful provider for his family and a devoted and loving husband, father, son and brother. His contributions to the community and his family will be missed greatly.

David Brent Bagwell, 51, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 27th, 2021 at his home.
