Mr. Bagwell was born on September 20, 1934, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on January 27, 2024, at his residence in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Billy was a very family-oriented man who enjoyed spending time building fires, working, racing motorcycles and cars. He was a great mentor to a lot of kids.

Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Bagwell; parents, James Coleman “Jamie” Bagwell and Vesta Fomby Bagwell; sons, Royce Bagwell and Kevin Bagwell; grandchildren, Colton Bagwell, Krystal Bagwell, and Brian Robisheaux; son-in-law, JB Thoman; and sister, Frances Bagwell.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy T. Bagwell, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Art Beebe officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Hasley Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Mr. Bagwell was born on September 20, 1934, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on January 27, 2024, at his residence in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Billy was a very family-oriented man who enjoyed spending time building fires, working, racing motorcycles and cars. He was a great mentor to a lot of kids.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rodger D. Bagwell and his wife, Marcia, S. Kaye Bagwell Wilcken, P. Coleman Bagwell and his wife, Sue Ellen, L. Denise Bagwell Myers and her husband, Kevin, Tanya R. Bagwell Deloach, Karen A. Thoman, and Stephanie L. Bagwell Mouton and her husband, Mike; grandchildren, Josh Bagwell and his wife, Ashley, Kacey Bagwell, Caleb Bagwell, Lance Bagwell and his wife, Tiffany, Chelsea B. Mosley and her husband, Joe, McKenzie B. Tuminello and her husband, Brandon, Jason Zerweck and his wife, Sheri, Erik Wilcken, Carly Devillier and her husband, Tyler, Devin Myers and his wife, Ashley, Megan Nolan and her husband, John, Morgan Mills, Nick Amos, Bridgette Mouton, Bethanie Mouton, Rachel Louis, Trish Mouton, and Dana Frederick; thirty-three great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jean Bagwell; siblings, Buddy Bagwell, Virgil Clampit, and Faye Swillie.
Billy is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Bagwell; parents, James Coleman “Jamie” Bagwell and Vesta Fomby Bagwell; sons, Royce Bagwell and Kevin Bagwell; grandchildren, Colton Bagwell, Krystal Bagwell, and Brian Robisheaux; son-in-law, JB Thoman; and sister, Frances Bagwell.

He was predeceased by two brothers, his twin, John Roy Bagwell and Henry Bagwell, a sister, Melindy Good, and special son-in-law, Charles Parnell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell, Rev. Brad Haynes, and Rev. Dr. Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
