     Randall Lee Bagwell was born on 16 March 1960 in St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana. He was the son of Robert Emmett Bagwell and Zelpha Jessamine McCoy. Randall Lee Bagwell married Ellen Marie Ellis on 6 June 1981 at St. joan of Arc Catholic Church, Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana. Randall Lee Bagwell married Pamela Kaye Ruse on 24 May 1988 at Monticello, Indiana. Randall Lee Bagwell died on 24 September 2024 at age 64


Randall Lee Bagwell passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. He was born March 16, 1960 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana to Robert and Zelpha Bagwell. He grew up with three brothers and he graduated from Taylor High School in 1978. After high school he worked various jobs and rode motorcycles. At some point he married his first wife Ellen. They were married for a short time and then they divorced. In 1987, he met his second wife and mother to his children, Pamela Ostler, at a plasma center in Lafayette, Indiana. He eventually moved in with her and her daughter, Melissa Ruse, in Monticello, Indiana. They got married on May 27, 1988 in Monticello at Monticello Park. They lived in Monticello for a year before moving to Kokomo in 1989. In 1990, Randall started trucking school and obtained his CDL. He started driving a semi for North American Van Lines. He drove for them for a few years. During that time, his son Chip, was born January 17, 1991. Then almost eleven months later, his daughter Debra, was born on December 16, 1991. After they were born, he wanted to be closer to home and help take care of his family, so he got a job working at a Grainery, Country Co-Op in Logansport, and various jobs throughout the years until his children were older. He eventually went back out on the road driving a semi for Werner Enterprises around the early 2000’s. He continued to drive for many years until health issues made him give up his love for driving the open road.


Randall enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and watching tv. He enjoyed old country music and loved to watch old western movies. He had a small gun collection and liked to target practice. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. He taught his daughter and stepdaughter how to drive a manual and how to work on their cars and how to be independent women. He was always making sure his children did not have to depend on anybody.


Randall was a kind hearted, good man who was always will to help anyone who needed it. He never knew a stranger. Everywhere he went, he was always trying to talk to everyone and cracking jokes. He enjoyed making people laugh. Like all Bagwell men, he could be stubborn and very opinionated. He always told it as he saw it, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He didn’t show much sentiment and didn’t express his feelings with words, but he always had a way of showing that he cared. He will be greatly missed.


He is survived by his parents Robert and Zelpha Bagwell; brothers, George “Bryan” Bagwell and Jonathan Bagwell; son, Randall “Chip” Bagwell; daughter, Debra Long (Bagwell); granddaughter, Raelyn Barrick; granddaughter, Anastasia Bagwell; grandson, Jacob Bagwell; uncle, Frank (Diana) McCoy; aunts by marriage, Lindia Bagwell, Joyce Butler and Marcia Bagwell; nieces, Catrina Adkinson (Bagwell) and Amanda Blaise (Bagwell); nephews, Robert E. Bagwell III, Joshua Bagwell, Daniel Bagwell and Michael Bagwell; former step children, Michael Richards, Tamara Chaney and Melissa Ruse. He is also survived by several cousins and many great nieces and nephews.

Randall was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, W. Emmitt & Dorothy Bagwell; maternal grandparents, Roscoe & Agnes McCoy; brother, Robert E. Bagwell, Jr; infant sister, Debra Kay Bagwell; uncles, William "Bill" Bagwell, Russell Bagwell, George "Fred" Bagwell, Jim Butler, and Earl and Aunt Burea Huff; and cousin, Kent Huff.

A visitation for Randall will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ellers Mortuary & Cremation Center, 3400 S Webster St, Kokomo, IN 46902, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.


He was buried on 18 October 2024 at Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana.

     Randy Bagwell was born on 3 March 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the son of Bobby Frank Bagwell and Rose Marie Taylor. Randy Bagwell married Mary (?) circa 1986. Randy Bagwell died on 18 July 2022 in Broadalbin, New York, at age 56


Randy Bagwell, 56, of Broadalbin, passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, due to complications of diabetes. He was born on March 3, 1966, in Fort Worth, Texas a son of Bobby and Rosie Taylor Bagwell and moved to New York in 1983. Randy was a 1984 graduate of Broadalbin High School. He was employed at Mohawk Lifts in Amsterdam, a business owned by his family, for most of his life. Randy was a fun-loving jokester who loved to do card tricks, and also enjoyed making people laugh. He was passionate about nature and loved deer hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. Most of all, he loved his grandchildren with all of his heart and would do anything for them. Randy will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two sisters, Sheila Thurman and Suzanne Geildmeyer. Survivors include his wife of thirty-six years, Mary; four sons, Pete (Alisa), Matt (Holly), Aaron (Lindsay), and Joe (Kristin); five grandchildren, Jack, Peyton, Haley, Parker, Riley, and Dewey; his mother, Rosie Bagwell; six siblings, Nick Wells, Rick Wells, Sherry Kelly, Bobby Bagwell, Jr., Cindy Hines, and Sharla Bagwell; and three step-siblings, David and Danny Smitherman, and Christine Joel. Private services will be held for the family.
