Inman - J. P. "Jim" BAGWELL, 85, of the Holly Springs Community, Inman, Route 3, died unexpectedly Sunday at 5:10 a.m. at his home. He had been in declining health several years. Mr. BAGWELL was born at Cross Anchor in Spartanburg County, and was a son of the late MARION and AMANDA LYNCH BAGWELL. He had been a resident of the Holly Springs Community 75 years, was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and the Mount Lebanon W. O. W. Camp.
He was married twice: his first wife was the late ELLEN CLAYTON BAGWELL. Surviving from this marriage are one daughter, Mrs. AGNESS GARRETT of Greer: three sons, PAUL BAGWELL of Belmont, NC, ARTHUR and LAYTON BAGWELL, both of Inman Route 3. His second marriage was to the late MARTHA SMITH BAGWELL. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. E. A. HOOD, C. E. PUETTE and L. W. PACE. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the Wood Mortuary in Greer and will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday.¹ He was buried at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Inman, Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹

Obituary:Pauline Cochrum Bagwell, 93, of 361 Cochran Road, widow of Arthur Bagwell, died March 31, 2012 at Alpha Health and Rehab. A native of Polk County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Eva Gosnell Cochrum, a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing, and member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Ralph Depew of Inman; a brother, Cleadus Cochrum of Piedmont; two sisters, Beatrice Clayton and Evelyn Harvey both of Greenville; and one grandson, Jimmy Depew. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Tim Clark and Rev. Henry Stanford. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The family is at the home of her daughter, Ellen Depew. Bagwell, 90, of 3440 S. Jefferson Street, widow of John Callaham Bagwell, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at Goodwin House West.

Born in Pierre, South Dakota, she was a daughter of the late Robert W. and Ida Nordvold Lumley. She was a homemaker and was an active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Arlington, VA., where she was active in the Rebecca Guild. She was active in the gardening program at Goodwin House West.

Surviving are one son, John L. Bagwell of Abingdon, VA; one daughter, Ms. Nancy E. Bagwell of Arlington, VA; two granddaughters, Jane Bagwell of Dahlonega, GA, and Mary Bagwell of Abingdon, VA; one great-grandson, Gavin Bagwell of Abingdon, VA.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Goodwin House West Chapel, 3440 S. Jefferson St., Falls Church, VA with Rev. John Thomas officiating.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 4, at Pruitt Funeral Home in Honea Path, SC conducted by Rev. Peter W. Hawes. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Honea Path, SC .^1,2
