Yvonne White Bagwell,82, wife of the late Earl Thomas Bagwell, passed away suddenly at her home at Smith's Beach, Eastville, VA. on July 21,2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Leroy B. White Sr. and Alma F. White and sister Winifred Titus. She is survived by her daughters Susan Bagwell Miller (Keith Miller) of Cheriton and Pattie W. Bagwell (Phil Card) of Richmond. She has two grandchildren, Curtis E. Heath of Eastville, and Lauren K. Heath of Eastville. She is also survived by 3 siblings, Judith Witt of Virginia Beach, Jacqueline Diener of Tarpon Springs, FL., and Leroy B. White Jr. of Norfolk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was born in Norfolk, Virginia and was a member of the lost class of '59 of Granby High School. She studied medical technology after high school, and that brought her to the Eastern Shore in the early sixties to work at NAM hospital in Nassawadox. There she joined the local community and met Earl T. Bagwell. She was an avid bridge player and went on to run the local duplicate bridge club. After the birth of her children, she began a long line of entrepreneurial activities. She was a certified financial planner, an Amway representative, built an apartment building and bought other investment property. In 1987 she spawned her first clam and stayed in the clam aquaculture business until her death. She was a very passionate political advocate. She ran for Northampton Board of Supervisors twice and helped many Libertarian candidates.
Yvonne was a big hearted, outspoken, straight-talking woman who was fierce in her support of her loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 16,2023 at 3:00 pm. at "Elkington" , 16111 Elkington Road, Eastville. VA.

Dora Vaughan Bagwell, 85, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022 at her home in Carroll County, MS, with her family by her side. Services are 11 A.M. Thursday, September 29 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis McKay and Dr. Jimmy Dukes officiating. Interment is 3 P.M. at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery near Walthall, MS. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.
Dora was born in Eupora to Ola and Beulah Sewell Vaughan, raised in Walthall and graduated from Eupora High School. After her marriage to Maxie Lee Bagwell they moved to Greenwood where they made their home. She had worked for City Finance and Billups Petroleum Company and was bookkeeper for her husband. In 1974 they purchased their Sonic Drive In and grew the company into BBWI which owned and operated numerous restaurants throughout the southeastern United States. She was a longtime faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling to the mountains in her camper, gardening, growing flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Joey Winstead and three grandchildren, Erin Michael Winstead, Ryan Bagwell and Claire Bagwell. She is survived by special friend, William Davis; two daughters, Sheila Bagwell Winstead of Winona, Pat Bagwell Irwin (Bubba) of Carrollton; a son, James Richard “Ricky” Bagwell (Donna) of Carrollton; six grandchildren, Ray Winstead (April) of Winona, Erin W.
