     Gabriel M. Tartaglia married Jill Burgett, daughter of Lieutenant James Allen Burgett and Joan Jeannette Cryder, on 18 December 1993 at Butler County, Ohio.

     Russell F. Burgett was born on 4 June 1910 in Ninevah, Johnson County, indiana. He was the son of Odas Burgett and Maggie McLary. Russell F. Burgett married Gussie Glynn Smith on 28 June 1932 at Hopewell, Indiana. Russell F. Burgett died on 7 September 2000 in Franklin, Johnson County, indiana, at age 90. He was buried at Harris Cemetery, Union Township, Johnson County, indiana.

     Gussie Glynn Smith was born on 15 August 1910 in Johnson County, Indiana. She married Russell F. Burgett, son of Odas Burgett and Maggie McLary, on 28 June 1932 at Hopewell, Indiana. As of 28 June 1932,her married name was Burgett. Gussie Glynn Smith died on 12 May 1995 in Johnson County, Indiana, at age 84.

     Carol Louise Burgett was born on 11 April 1934 in Ninevah Township, Johnson County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Russell F. Burgett and Gussie Glynn Smith. Carol Louise Burgett died on 3 December 1936 in Union Township, Johnson County, Indiana, at age 2. She was buried on 4 December 1936 at Harris Cemetery, Union Township, Johnson County, Indiana; of pnemumonia.

     Odas Burgett was born on 26 August 1884 in Trafalger, Johnson County, Indiana. He was the son of James Valentine Burgett and Clarissa Elizabeth McFadden. Odas Burgett married Maggie McLary before 1910. Odas Burgett died on 23 April 1981 in Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana, at age 96. He was buried on 24 April 1981 at Nineveh Christian Church Cemetery, Nineveh, Johnson County, Indiana.

     Maggie McLary was born on 13 April 1884 in Brown County, Indiana. She married Odas Burgett, son of James Valentine Burgett and Clarissa Elizabeth McFadden, before 1910. As of before 1910,her married name was Burgett. Maggie McLary died on 25 June 1975 in Morgan County Hospital, Martinsville, Morgan County, Indiana, at age 91. She was buried on 27 June 1975 at Nineveh Christian Church Cemetery, Nineveh, Johnson County, Indiana.

     Beatrice Kay Childress was born on 3 March 1952 in Bristol, Virginia. As of 10 November 1973,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Lewis Bagwell Jr., son of William Lewis Bagwell and Marlene Ann Sprouse, on 10 November 1973 at Bristol, Virginia. Beatrice Kay Childress died on 13 March 2023 in Bristol, Virginia, at age 71. She was buried at Glenwood Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Bristol, Sullivan County, Tennessee.

     Rebecca Hope Bagwell is the daughter of William Lewis Bagwell Jr. and Beatrice Kay Childress.

     Carla Marie (?) married Billy Dorwayne Bagwell after 1972.

     Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell is the son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?) Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell married Brandy Whitley before 2002. Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell married Alicia Dawson before 2024.

     Kristopher Bagwell is the son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?)

     Justin Dorwayne Bagwell is the son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?) Justin Dorwayne Bagwell married Ashley (?) after 1998.

     Ricky Bagwell is the son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?) Ricky Bagwell married Hannah (?) after 1998.

     Brandy Whitley married Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell, son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?), before 2002.

     Annalee Bagwell is the daughter of Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell and Brandy Whitley.

     Dylan Ryan Bagwell was born on 13 November 2002 in Flowood, Mississippi. He was the son of Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell and Brandy Whitley. Dylan Ryan Bagwell died on 6 September 2024 at age 21



Dylan Ryan Bagwell passed away on Friday, September 6 at his home surrounded by those who loved him the most. He was 20 years old. Dylan was born in Flowood and was a graduate of Brandon High School. He loved nature, riding horses, giving kisses, and singing in the choir at Hawkins United Methodist Church. He was known as a happy person and was loved by all who knew him and brought joy to all of them. His smile would light up any room he entered. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Vik Holmberg; maternal great-grandfather, Bill Berry and his great-grandmother, Pearl Allen; his great-grandfather, Duncan Bryant, Jr; his paternal great-grandfathers, Herbert Brown and Richard Bagwell.

He is survived by his mother, Brandy Whitley and step-father, Chip; his father, Dustin Bagwell and step-mother, Alicia; his sister, Annalee Bagwell; step-sisters Isabelle Harrison and Emma Harrison; his maternal grandmother, Sharon Holmberg; his maternal grandfather, Ricky Bryant (Paula); his paternal grandparents, Billy Bagwell and Carla Bagwell; his great-grandmother, Jeannette Berry; four uncles: Richard Bryant (Nicole) Ricky Bagwell (Hannah), Justin Bagwell (Ashley), and Kristopher Bagwell; and numerous cousins.

A celebration of Dylan’s life will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, September 12 at the home of Sheila and Mike Katzenmeyer, 115 Cole Lake Road, Vicksburg, MS 39183.

     Hannah (?) married Ricky Bagwell, son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?), after 1998.

     Alicia Dawson married Dustin Dorwayne Bagwell, son of Billy Dorwayne Bagwell and Carla Marie (?), before 2024.

     Lanelle Bagwell was born on 11 July 1941 in Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Frank Harvey Bagwell and Grace Ledbetter. As of 27 October 1961,her married name was Jones. Lanelle Bagwell married Galen Lenoir Jones on 27 October 1961. As of 31 July 2010,her married name was Hightower. Lanelle Bagwell married Willie Hightower on 31 July 2010 at Ackerman, Mississippi. Lanelle Bagwell died on 8 September 2024 in West Point, Clay County, Mississippi, at age 83


Mrs. Lanelle Jones Hightower, 83, passed away on September 8, 2024, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point. Mrs. Lanelle was born on July 11, 1941, in Ackerman, to the late Frank and Grace Ledbetter Bagwell. Lanelle was a caregiver for many children over the years, both in a daycare and in her home. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. She was an avid and accomplished cook, perfecting meatloaf and spaghetti. She was affectionately known as "Maw Maw" Jones to everyone. She was loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married Galen Lenoir Jones on October 27, 1961, and he predeceased her on June 14, 2006. She then married Willie Hightower on July 31, 2010, in Ackerman. She was a member of Siloam Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Whitmire.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Calvert Funeral Home in West Point. Graveside services will be Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. from Enon Cemetery in Ackerman with Bro. Rob Faulk officiating and assisted by Bro. Roger Miller and Bro. Gary Blair. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Willie Hightower of West Point: one daughter, Lucretia Moss (Ron) of Ackerman: one son, Virgil Jones (Kandie) of Ackerman: one step-son, Jimmy Hightower (Nikki) of Jacksonville, Florida: ten grandchildren: fifteen great-grandchildren: three sisters-in-law, Martha Alford (James) of Ackerman, Carolyn Hood (Kenneth) of Pickensville, Alabama, and Carolyn Adams (S. E.) of Manassas, Virginia, one brother-in-law, Lavon Jones of Reform, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dillon Jones, Dawson Jones, Ryan Miller, Matt Moss, Chance Bowie, Landon Wells, Alex Burton, and Ben Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy White, Charles Tabb, Kevin Clark, Nurses and Staff of Dugan Memorial Home, Nurses and Staff of Sanctuary Hospice, her many friends at Siloam Baptist Church, and her many friends at Antioch Church in Reform.


She was buried on 13 September 2024 at Enon Cemetery, Ackerman, Mississippi.

     Galen Lenoir Jones married Lanelle Bagwell, daughter of Frank Harvey Bagwell and Grace Ledbetter, on 27 October 1961. Galen Lenoir Jones died on 14 June 2006.

     Willie Hightower married Lanelle Bagwell, daughter of Frank Harvey Bagwell and Grace Ledbetter, on 31 July 2010 at Ackerman, Mississippi.

     Narcissus Gay Black was born on 4 July 1902 in Attala County, Mississippi. As of after 1907,her married name was Bagwell. She married William Rainey Bagwell, son of Henry Harrison Bagwell and Mary Josephine Evans, after 1907. Narcissus Gay Black died on 15 July 1992 in Cordova, Shelby County, Tennessee, at age 90. She was buried at Enon Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi.

     Mary Frances Bagwell was born on 24 January 1906 in Choctaw County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Henry Harrison Bagwell and Mary Josephine Evans. As of after 1920,her married name was Thompson. Mary Frances Bagwell married John Benjamin Thompson after 1920. Mary Frances Bagwell died on 12 March 1995 in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, at age 89. She was buried on 15 March 1995 at Concord Baptist Cemetery, Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi.

     John Benjamin Thompson was born on 22 February 1899 in Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi. He married Mary Frances Bagwell, daughter of Henry Harrison Bagwell and Mary Josephine Evans, after 1920. John Benjamin Thompson died on 28 May 1965 in Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi, at age 66. He was buried at Concord Baptist Cemetery, Ackerman, Choctaw County, Mississippi.

     Louisa Jane Shirley married Joel Bagwell on 12 May 1859 at Floyd County, Georgia.

     Mary S. Bagwell was born on 1 July 1867. She was the daughter of James Bagwell and Susie Rogers. Mary S. Bagwell died on 2 November 1917 in Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland, at age 50. She was buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Maryland.
