     Elias Broughton was born in 1859 in Wake County, North Carolina. He was the son of Jessie Broughton and Matilda Unknown.

     Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton was born on 22 August 1838 in St. Mary's Township, Wake County, North Carolina.¹ He was the son of Joseph Broughton and Mary Martha "Polly" Bagwell.² Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton married Louisa Hawkins Franks on 1 February 1859.² Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton and Louisa Hawkins Franks lived in 1860 in Swift Creek, North Carolina; Gaston H. and Louisa Hawkins Franks moved on to Louisa Hawkin Franks' parent's farm Swift Creek, North Carolina. When North Carolina entered the Civil War in May, 1861, Gaston enlisted with Company D of the NC 26th infantry, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant. Gaston was injured and captured at the Battle of Gettysburg in July, 1863, and he would spend the next two years in deplorable conditions at Federal prison camps. He was finally released in June of 1865 from Ft. Delaware, often called the "Andersonville of the North". Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton died on 15 August 1907 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, at age 68.¹ He was buried at City Cemetery, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.¹

     Her married name was Broughton. Louisa Hawkins Franks was born in 1842 in North Carolina. She married Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton, son of Joseph Broughton and Mary Martha "Polly" Bagwell, on 1 February 1859.¹ Louisa Hawkins Franks and Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton lived in 1860 in Swift Creek, North Carolina; Louisa Hawkins and Louisa Hawkins Franks moved on to Louisa Hawkin Franks' parent's farm Swift Creek, North Carolina. She died on 15 November 1912 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina.

     Leonard Gaston Broughton was born on 5 December 1864 in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. He was the son of Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton and Louisa Hawkins Franks. Leonard Gaston Broughton died on 22 February 1936 in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at age 71.

     Anna Catherine Broughton was born in 1866. She was the daughter of Lieutenant Gaston H. Broughton and Louisa Hawkins Franks.

     James Leonard Bagwell was born on 5 May 1817 in Alabama.^1,2 He was the son of Redmond (Redman) Bagwell and Mary Lennard. James Leonard Bagwell married Eliza A. Cook.^1,2 James Leonard Bagwell and Eliza A. Cook lived in 1850 in Western Division, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.³ James Leonard Bagwell and Eliza A. Cook lived in 1860 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.² 2nd Lieutenant in Company D, 2nd Mississippi Cavalry of the Confederate States of America. James was wounded in the battle of Gettysburg, imprisoned, sent to a hospital, and finally released to recoup at home. James Leonard Bagwell died after June 1880 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹ He was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Bruce, Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹

     Eliza A. Cook was born on 27 November 1824 in Fayette County, Alabama.^1,2 Her married name was Bagwell. She married James Leonard Bagwell, son of Redmond (Redman) Bagwell and Mary Lennard.^3,2 Eliza A. Cook and James Leonard Bagwell lived in 1850 in Western Division, Chickasaw County, Mississippi.⁴ Eliza A. Cook and James Leonard Bagwell lived in 1860 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.² Eliza A. Cook died on 8 September 1875 in Calhoun County, Mississippi, at age 50.¹ She was buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery, Bruce, Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹

     Thomas Coffey Bagwell was also known as Thomas Coffee Bagwell.¹ He was born on 25 February 1848 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.¹ He was the son of Charles Burk Bagwell and Frances Simpson. Thomas Coffey Bagwell married Sophiah Elizabeth Hawkins in 1870 at Banner, Calhoun County, Mississippi. Thomas Coffey Bagwell died on 9 January 1905 in McCurtain, Haskell County, Oklahoma, at age 56 perished in the influenza epidemic of 1905. He was buried at Miners Cemetery, McCurtain, Haskell County, Oklahoma.¹

     Mary E. Brantley was also known as Mollie E. Brantley. She was born on 16 March 1848 in Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Sidney Prince Brantley and Francis Hawkins. She was a Choctaw Indian. Their children are listed in the Dawes Rolls as Choctaw. As of 13 February 1866,her married name was Bagwell.¹ Mary E. Brantley married Abner B. Bagwell, son of Redmond (Redman) Bagwell and Mary Lennard, on 13 February 1866 at Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹ Mollie (Mary) E. (Brantley) Bagwell and her son, Charles Wilson, and her daugther, Myrtice May Bagwell, were denied Choctaw Nation Citizenship. Mollie claimed to be 1/8 blood Choctaw and her two children to be 1/16 blood from the Mississippi Choctaw tribe.

Mary E. Brantley died on 7 June 1917 in Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma, at age 69.¹ She was buried at Antlers City Cemetery, Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.

     William Love Bagwell was also known as Love Bagwell. He was born on 16 February 1868 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.^1,2 He was the son of Abner B. Bagwell and Mary E. Brantley.¹ William Love Bagwell married Mollie Elizabeth Harris on 27 January 1892. William Love Bagwell died on 10 May 1919 in Calhoun County, Mississippi, at age 51 A man named Charles H. Ivy shot Love Bagwell in the head with a shotgun. Charles Ivy was later hanged on July 20, 1920 by the State of Mississippi for the death of Love Bagwell. Charles Ivy was the last man executed by hanging by the State of Mississippi.^1,3,2 He was buried at Antioch Cemetery, Bruce, Calhoun County, Mississippi.²

     Lettie Love Bagwell was born on 28 November 1871 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹ She was the daughter of Abner B. Bagwell and Mary E. Brantley.² Lettie Love Bagwell married George B. McComic before 1893. Lettie Love Bagwell died on 23 December 1901 at age 30. She was buried at Antlers City Cemetery, Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. Lettie applied for Choctaw Citizenship based on 1/8 blood. Her application fro her and her five children was dismissed on May 24, 1904. Her mother was presumably part of the the Mississippi Choctaw tribe.

     James Sidney Bagwell was born on 12 November 1873 in Calhoun County, Mississippi.¹ He was the son of Abner B. Bagwell and Mary E. Brantley.² James Sidney Bagwell married Mary Ann McGee on 27 February 1896 at Indian Territory. James Sidney Bagwell lived in 1900 in Township 8, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory. He married Eva Cordelia Lewis circa 1907.¹ James Sidney Bagwell lived on 12 September 1918 in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma.¹ He and Eva Cordelia Lewis lived in 1920 in Antlers, Pushmataha County, Oklahoma. James Sidney Bagwell and Eva Cordelia Lewis lived in 1930 in Cooke County, Texas. James Sidney Bagwell died on 29 April 1965 in Cooke County, Texas, at age 91.² He was buried at New Resthaven Cemetery, Gainesville, Cooke County, Texas.³

     Charlie Wilson Bagwell was also known as Charlie William Bagwell. Charlie Wilson Bagwell was also known as Charlie Wayne Bagwell. He was born on 18 January 1880 in Calhoun County, Mississippi, (Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, Mississippi.)^1,2 He was the son of Abner B. Bagwell and Mary E. Brantley. He was a lawyer and later Judge in Oklahoma. He was also present at the trial of Charles Ivy who shot his 1st cousin Love Bagwell to death.³ Mollie (Mary) E. (Brantley) Bagwell and her son, Charles Wilson, and her daugther, Myrtice May Bagwell, were denied Choctaw Nation Citizenship. Mollie claimed to be 1/8 blood Choctaw and her two children to be 1/16 blood from the Mississippi Choctaw tribe.

     Andrew Jackson Bagwell was also known as Andrew J. Bagwell.¹ Andrew Jackson Bagwell also went by the name of John Bagwell. He was born circa 1844 in Mississippi.² He was born in 1845 in Banner, Calhoun County, Mississippi.^2,1 He was the son of Wiley Bagwell and Lucretia York.² As of 1850, Andrew Jackson Bagwell was also known as Jackson Bagwell.² He lived in 1860 in Jimmy's Creek, Marion County, Arkansas.¹ He married Elizabeth Brickey on 7 January 1868 at Arkansas.³ Andrew Jackson Bagwell and Elizabeth Brickey lived in 1870 in Reeds Creek, Lawrence County, Arkansas.³ Andrew Jackson Bagwell died in 1878 in Arkansas.

Samuel Lemuel Bagwell died on 23 May 1909 in Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma, at age 61.² He was buried at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma.²

     Eulela "Lele" Bagwell was also known as Gertrude Bagwell. She was born in December 1869 in Calhoun County, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Samuel Lemuel Bagwell and Margaret Dow. As of after 1880,her married name was Williams. Eulela "Lele" Bagwell married William Edward Williams after 1880. As of 19 November 1899,her married name was McClure. Eulela "Lele" Bagwell married Barthony T. McClure on 19 November 1899 at Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Eulela "Lele" Bagwell died in 1929 in Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. She was buried at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma.

Lula Arizona Bagwell died on 22 October 1962 in Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas, at age 87.¹ She was buried at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas.¹

     Luther Andrew Cannon was born in 1871 in Alabama.¹ He married Lula Arizona Bagwell, daughter of Charles Marion Bagwell and Eliza Jane Brantley, in 1895 at Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Luther Andrew Cannon died on 4 December 1956 in Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas.¹ He was buried at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas.¹

     Emily Frances Bagwell was born on 28 December 1880 in Hackett City, Sebastian County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Charles Marion Bagwell and Eliza Jane Brantley. As of 1904,her married name was Lowrey. Emily Frances Bagwell married Stephen Lee Lowrey in 1904 at Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma. Emily Frances Bagwell died on 26 March 1977 in Poteau, Le Flore County, Oklahoma, at age 96.
