Margaret Elizabeth Orr Bagwell (Granny), 98, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024. She was a devoted member of Brookwood Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Forsyth County. Granny was known for her Strawberry Cake and meticulous lawn. You could always find her on the lawn mower or with a rake in her hand. She lived her testimony to “Trust and Obey” every single day.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Rev. Ralph Lee Bagwell, daughter Sandra Watson, infant grandson Terry Watson, and brother Larry Orr. Survivors include her son-in-law, Johnny Watson; grandchildren Robyn and Johnny Gravitt, Lesa and Doug Barnett, Jason and Dana Watson; great-grandchildren include Amber and Wes Lee, Madison and Colt Walls, Jacob and Alex Barnett, Haleigh and Andrew Warbington, Zachary Barnett, Lydia, Bridget, Corey, and Chloe Watson; great- great-grandchildren Hudson Lee, Jace Walls, Jackson Warbington, and Vera Barnett; Brother and sister-in-law Rev. Jerry and Dolores Orr, sister Betty Holland, and many other surviving relatives. Special caretakers include Valerie Emmett, Annette Lynn, and Lori Mullinax.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 11th at 2:00 pm at Brookwood Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Richards, Rev. Tommy Weldy, Rev. Danny Orr, and Rev. Jerry Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Brookwood Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Wednesday from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

She married William Riley Bagwell, son of John Tee Bagwell and Della Garrison, after 1940. As of after 1971,her married name was Moon. Elizabeth M. Babb married Adolphus Randolphus "Dock" Moon after 1971. Elizabeth M. Babb died on 16 August 2005 at age 76
Elizabeth M. McAdams, 76, of 18 Hodgens Drive, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005.

Born in Asheville, N.C., she was a daughter of the late William Dock and Annie Maude Bowers Babb, and widow of the late Boyce McAdams.

Ms. McAdams retired from Greenville Hospital System and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Surviving are three children, James Kenneth and Pam Bagwell of Shelbyville, Tenn., Patty and Steve Bruce of Greenville, S.C., and Rick and Patti Bagwell of Atlanta, Ga; "my precious" grandchildren, Aaron and Elizabeth Bagwell of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Brittany and Hunter Bagwell of Atlanta, Ga.

Surviving also are a brother, Steve and Kathy Babb; five sisters, Betty Jo Coleman of Greenville, Pat and John Penland of Mauldin, Nancy and Guy Penland of Simpsonville, Sue DuBose of Sumter and Linda Campbell of Taylors; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Babb, of Fountain Inn; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by former husband, Dock Moon; a brother, James Kenneth Babb; and a sister, Cleo Phillips.

Visitation will be held this evening from 6 to 8:30 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Freedom Baptist Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, West.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Freedom Baptist Church, 1907 W. Parker Road, Greenville, SC 29617.

Mrs. McAdams would like to thank her children, family, friends, and neighbors on Hodgens Drive in Greenville and Saluda View Drive in Easley, and her church family, for their many kindnesses to her.

The family is at the home of the daughter, 8 Meeting Place, Greenville.

He was a self-employed carpenter and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

A daughter, Mrs. Sam (Charity) Gallogly, Cadiz, survives.2
He was buried on 14 May 2015 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky.2
