Ruth loved gardening, crafts, and making porcelain dolls, but her greatest love was for her family, and being a faithful and supportive wife to her late husband, Jim.
Surviving are a sister, Nelle Bagwell Taylor of Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bolding was predeceased by five brothers, Edward Davis, Joseph, Austin, John and Dean Bagwell; two sisters, Emily Sue Gilstrap and Evelyn B. Williams; and two sisters-in-law, Lillian Crenshaw and Kathleen Byrd.

Inman - Walter Edward "Pete" Bagwell, 62, husband of Blanche Elizabeth Fowler Bagwell of 15 Fifth St., died Wednesday in an Asheville hospital.
Native of Spartanburg County; son of the late William Homer Sr. and Maybelle Johnson Bagwell; retired from Inman Mill; member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman.
Also surviving: daughters, Carol Lynn Branch of Inman, Patricia Ann Lark of Spartanburg, Donna Lou Bagwell and Cassie Doreene Roberts of Chesnee; sons, Mark Bagwell of Inman, Roger Bagwell of New York; sisters, Nellie Condrey, Violet Ivey and Mary B. McCarter of Inman, Lois B. Reece of Greenville; brothers, Thurman W. Bagwell of Spartanburg, Gerald R. Bagwell of Inman; eight grandchildren.
Services 4 Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman by the Rev. Earl Hendrix; burial in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Arthur Fletcher, Dewey Peace, Howard and Jesse Fowler, Donnie Bagwell, Buck Messer, Bobby Gosnell.
Family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at J. F. Floyd Mortuary, North Church Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Inman Rescue Squad.

James Hugh Bagwell was born on 24 July 1917 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.1 He was the son of William Homer Bagwell and Maybelle Johnson.1 James Hugh Bagwell married Ruth Mae Smith after 1935.2 James Hugh Bagwell died on 23 May 1948 at age 30 of third-degree burns of the entire body from an airplane crash.1 He was buried at Inman Cemetery, Inman, Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was killed when his aeronca Trailer plane crashed and burned.1
