     Joseph Elvin Bagwell was born on 6 July 1923 in South Carolina. He was the son of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. Joseph Elvin Bagwell lived on 25 October 1943; He served in the US Army Air Corp at Keesler Field, Biloxi, Mississippi during World War II. He married Phyllis Jane Gary after 1945. Joseph Elvin Bagwell died on 28 September 1989 in Greer, Greenville County, South Carolina, at age 66. He was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Beattie Austin Bagwell was also known as Austin Bagwell. He was born on 1 November 1928 in South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. Beattie Austin Bagwell married Clara Mae Parkins on 20 February 1954 at Easley, South Carolina.² Beattie Austin Bagwell died on 25 December 1995 in Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 67.¹ He was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Emily Sue Bagwell was born on 15 November 1926 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. As of after 1943,her married name was Gilstrap. Emily Sue Bagwell married (?) Gilstrap after 1943. Emily Sue Bagwell died on 21 May 1962 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 35.¹ She was buried at Glenwood Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Ruth Elizabeth Bagwell was born on 12 January 1925 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. As of after 1945,her married name was Bolding. Ruth Elizabeth Bagwell married James Wyatt Bolding after 1945. Ruth Elizabeth Bagwell died on 20 November 2021 in Salem, Oconee County, South Carolina, at age 96


Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Bagwell Bolding, 96, wife of the late James Wyatt "Jim" Bolding, passed away November 20, 2021 at her home.

Born in Easley, a daughter of the late Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and the late Janie Inez Cantrell Bagwell, Mrs. Bolding was a graduate of Easley High School and attended Draughon's Business College. She was a former secretary at Retail Credit Co., a homemaker and a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, Six Mile.

Ruth loved gardening, crafts, and making porcelain dolls, but her greatest love was for her family, and being a faithful and supportive wife to her late husband, Jim.

Surviving are a sister, Nelle Bagwell Taylor of Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bolding was predeceased by five brothers, Edward Davis, Joseph, Austin, John and Dean Bagwell; two sisters, Emily Sue Gilstrap and Evelyn B. Williams; and two sisters-in-law, Lillian Crenshaw and Kathleen Byrd.

     Evelyn Dona Bagwell was born in 1918 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. As of 24 April 1943,her married name was Williams. Evelyn Dona Bagwell married Charles Frederick Williams on 24 April 1943. Evelyn Dona Bagwell died in 2001. She was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Edward Bagwell is the son of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell.

     Harold Dean Bagwell was born on 24 December 1937 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. Harold Dean Bagwell married Janie B (?) after 1955. Harold Dean Bagwell died on 15 March 1997 in Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 59. He was buried on 17 March 1997 at Hiullcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum, Greenville, South Carolina.

     Annie Nell Bagwell was born on 26 April 1934 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of Joseph Seaborn Bagwell and Jane Inez Cantrell. As of after 1953,her married name was Taylor. Annie Nell Bagwell married Milton H. Taylor after 1953. Annie Nell Bagwell died on 27 March 2023 at age 88


Nelle Bagwell Taylor, 88, wife of the late Milton H. Taylor, passed away March 27, 2023.
A native of Easley, SC, daughter of the late Joseph S. and Inez Cantrell Bagwell, she was retired from the South Carolina State Department of Mental Health, and a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Teri L. Krezdorn (Carl) of Salem, SC; one son, Gregory D. Taylor (Pamela) of Lyman, SC; three grandchildren, Erica McCall (John), Christian Krezdorn, and Anna Hart (Jeremy); two great-grandchildren, Jack and Lucas McCall; and her loyal care giver and friend, Audrey Lambert.
Mrs. Taylor was the last surviving sibling of nine children.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, SC.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 pm Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the church.
The family will be at their respective homes.

As of 25 December 1904,her married name was Hogsed. Addie Jane Bagwell married Carman Perry Hogsed on 25 December 1904 at Transylvania County, North Carolina. Addie Jane Bagwell died on 21 September 1962 in Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina, at age 78.¹ She was buried at Carsons Creek Baptist Church, Transylvania County, North Carolina.¹

     Carman Perry Hogsed was born on 14 August 1886 in Reba, Pitt County, North Carolina.¹ He married Addie Jane Bagwell, daughter of James Seaborn Bagwell and Rutha Jane Corbin, on 25 December 1904 at Transylvania County, North Carolina. Carman Perry Hogsed died in 1959 in Transylvania County, North Carolina.¹ He was buried at Carsons Creek Baptist Church, Transylvania County, North Carolina.¹

     Mary Emma Bagwell was born on 27 October 1878 in Transylvania County, North Carolina. She was the daughter of James Seaborn Bagwell and Rutha Jane Corbin. Mary Emma Bagwell died circa 1881.

     Laura Ann Bagwell was born on 3 July 1876 in Transylvania County, North Carolina.¹ She was the daughter of James Seaborn Bagwell and Rutha Jane Corbin. As of 13 November 1893,her married name was Garren. Laura Ann Bagwell married Joseph Hill Garren on 13 November 1893 at Transylvania County, North Carolina. Laura Ann Bagwell died on 16 November 1949 in Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina, at age 73.¹ She was buried at Gillespie Evergreen Cemetery, Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina.¹

     Joseph Hill Garren was born on 5 July 1871 in Transylvania County, North Carolina. He married Laura Ann Bagwell, daughter of James Seaborn Bagwell and Rutha Jane Corbin, on 13 November 1893 at Transylvania County, North Carolina. Joseph Hill Garren died on 4 October 1945 in Brevard, Transylvania County, North Carolina, at age 74.

     Larry Leon Bagwell was born in 1939 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Lonnie Leon Bagwell and Hazel Willene Medlin.¹ Larry Leon Bagwell married Gail Patric Childress on 23 December 1961. Born in Pickens County, a son of Hazel Medlin Bagwell of Easley and the late Lonnie Leon Bagwell, Mr. Bagwell retired as an accountant with Interstate Bakeries and was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Richard Wolf, Elizabeth and David Ells and Laura and Frederick Koerwitz, all of Charlotte; a brother, Jan Bagwell of Easley; a sister, Nadine Stvan of Dunwoody, Ga; eight grandchildren, Jaklyn Gail Wolf, Alexandria Rhea Wolf, Richard Brandon Wolf, Savannah Jane Ells, Patrick Donovan Ells, Melissa Kay Simpson, Frederick Braedon Koerwitz and Lauren Elizabeth Koerwitz.

     Hazel Willene Medlin was born on 15 September 1918 in Lavonia, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ As of before 1939,her married name was Bagwell. She married Lonnie Leon Bagwell, son of Tandy Walker Bagwell and Elizabeth Della Freeman, before 1939. Hazel Willene Medlin died on 12 August 2015 in Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina, at age 96
Heaven received a new Angel on August 12, 2015 when Mrs. Hazel Willene Medlin Bagwell went home to be with her Lord and Savior at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Hazel was born in Lavonia, GA on September 15, 1918 to the late Oscar and Bonnie Hand Medlin. The wife of the late Lonnie Leon Bagwell, she worked for many years in the various cotton mills around Easley. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, and was a member of Bible Methodist Church for over 40 years before moving her membership to the Neighborhood Church, where her Grandson is pastor.

She was preceded in death by her son; Larry Leon Bagwell.

Interment: Greenlawn Memorial Park.¹ She was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Leslie Bagwell is the daughter of Larry Leon Bagwell and Gail Patric Childress. Leslie Bagwell married Richard Wolf after 1976.

     Elizabeth Bagwell is the daughter of Larry Leon Bagwell and Gail Patric Childress. Elizabeth Bagwell married David Ells after 1976.

     Laura Bagwell is the daughter of Larry Leon Bagwell and Gail Patric Childress. Laura Bagwell married Frederick Koerwitz after 1976.

     Jan Bagwell is the son of Lonnie Leon Bagwell and Hazel Willene Medlin.

     Nadine Bagwell is the daughter of Lonnie Leon Bagwell and Hazel Willene Medlin.

     Medley Bagwell is the daughter of Tandy Walker Bagwell and Elizabeth Della Freeman.

     Walter Edward Bagwell was born on 6 January 1922 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of William Homer Bagwell and Maybelle Johnson. Walter Edward Bagwell married Blanche Elizabeth Fowler after 1944.¹ Walter Edward Bagwell died on 22 August 1984 at age 62
Inman - Walter Edward "Pete" Bagwell, 62, husband of Blanche Elizabeth Fowler Bagwell of 15 Fifth St., died Wednesday in an Asheville hospital.

Native of Spartanburg County; son of the late William Homer Sr. and Maybelle Johnson Bagwell; retired from Inman Mill; member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman.

Also surviving: daughters, Carol Lynn Branch of Inman, Patricia Ann Lark of Spartanburg, Donna Lou Bagwell and Cassie Doreene Roberts of Chesnee; sons, Mark Bagwell of Inman, Roger Bagwell of New York; sisters, Nellie Condrey, Violet Ivey and Mary B. McCarter of Inman, Lois B. Reece of Greenville; brothers, Thurman W. Bagwell of Spartanburg, Gerald R. Bagwell of Inman; eight grandchildren.

Services 4 Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church of Inman by the Rev. Earl Hendrix; burial in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Arthur Fletcher, Dewey Peace, Howard and Jesse Fowler, Donnie Bagwell, Buck Messer, Bobby Gosnell.

Family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at J. F. Floyd Mortuary, North Church Street.

He was killed when his aeronca Trailer plane crashed and burned.¹
