     Elmer P. Bagwell was born on 24 December 1902 in Arkansas. He was the son of James William Bagwell and Lula Lamb. Elmer P. Bagwell married Cornia Coleman on 16 December 1922 at Jackson County, Arkansas. Elmer P. Bagwell died on 17 March 1979 in Jackson County, Arkansas, at age 76. He was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Auvergne, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     Cornia Coleman was born on 17 June 1901 in Arkansas. As of 16 December 1922,her married name was Bagwell. She married Elmer P. Bagwell, son of James William Bagwell and Lula Lamb, on 16 December 1922 at Jackson County, Arkansas. Cornia Coleman died on 15 June 1991 in Tupelo, Jackson County, Arkansas, at age 89. She was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Auvergne, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     Imogene Bagwell was born on 30 September 1923 in Shoffner, Jackson County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Elmer P. Bagwell and Cornia Coleman. Imogene Bagwell died on 8 January 2009 in Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas, at age 85. She was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Auvergne, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     James Bryant "Jimmy" Bagwell was born on 5 May 1927 in Breckenridge, Jackson County, Arkansas.¹ He was the son of Elmer P. Bagwell and Cornia Coleman. James Bryant "Jimmy" Bagwell married Gloria Necochea before 1949 at California. James Bryant "Jimmy" Bagwell died on 5 June 1980 in Klamath, Oregon, at age 53.¹ He was buried at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, San Jacinto, Riverside County, California.¹

     Janice Bagwell was born on 23 April 1927 in Tupelo, Jackson County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Elmer P. Bagwell and Cornia Coleman. As of after 1945,her married name was Ivy. Janice Bagwell married Eugene Sylvester Ivy after 1945. Janice Bagwell died on 29 February 2016 in Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas, at age 88. She was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     Elmer P. Bagwell Jr. was born on 5 May 1925 in Shoffner, Jackson County, Arkansas. He was the son of Elmer P. Bagwell and Cornia Coleman. Elmer P. Bagwell Jr. married Minnie Marie Handshy before 1957. Elmer P. Bagwell Jr. died on 9 December 2005 in Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas, at age 80 Elmer Bagwell Jr., 80, of Tupelo died Friday at Newport.

He was born May 5, 1925, at Shoffner, the son of Elmer and Corneia Coleman Bagwell.

Mr. Bagwell is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marie Handshy Bagwell; two sons, Jay Preston Bagwell and Richard Lee Bagwell and wife Krissten, all of Tupelo; two sisters, Janice Ivy and Imogene Bagwell, both of Newport; and four grandchildren, Amanda Bagwell, Amber Bagwell, Jordan Bagwell and Peyton Bagwell.

Graveside services were in Sandhill Cemetery. He was buried at Sand Hill Cemetery, Auvergne, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     Dorothy Bagwell was born on 11 October 1923 in Monette, Criaghead County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Clay Clifford Bagwell. As of after 1945,her married name was Moody. As of after 1945,her married name was Eskew. Dorothy Bagwell married Homer Eskew after 1945. Dorothy Bagwell married Warren Moody after 1945. Dorothy Bagwell died on 29 June 2013 in Cordova, Shelby County, Tennessee, at age 89. She was buried at Fakes Chapel Cemetery, McCrory, Woodruff County, Arkansas.

     Tina Pearl Gower was also known as Tina P. Gower. She was born in 1902. As of 5 September 1920,her married name was Bagwell. As of 5 September 1920,her married name was Bagwell. She married Clay Clifford Bagwell, son of Andrew Jackson "Jack" Bagwell and Zoria Dixon, on 5 September 1920 at Baxter County, Arkansas. Tina Pearl Gower died in 1985. She was buried at Eight Mile Cemetery, Beedeville, Jackson County, Arkansas.

     Annie Mae Bagwell was born on 28 December 1903 in Pike County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Elisha Perry Bagwell and Julia Ann Fox. As of 21 May 1922,her married name was O'Neal. Annie Mae Bagwell married Pat O'Neal on 21 May 1922 at Pike County, Arkansas.¹ Annie Mae Bagwell died on 22 August 1977 in Pike County, Arkansas, at age 73. She was buried at Billstown Cemetery, Billstown, Pike County, Arkansas.¹

     Pat O'Neal was born on 10 April 1901. He married Annie Mae Bagwell, daughter of Elisha Perry Bagwell and Julia Ann Fox, on 21 May 1922 at Pike County, Arkansas.¹ Pat O'Neal died on 11 March 1971 at age 69. He was buried at Billstown Cemetery, Billstown, Pike County, Arkansas.

     Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell Jr. was born on 29 May 1940 in Henderson County, North Carolina. He was the son of Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell and Martha Ruth Owensby. He served four years in the US Air Force, stationed at Cape Kennedy. Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell Jr. married Gladys Margaret Marden in October 1965 at Pinellas County, Florida. Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell Jr. married Gloria Paragas on 22 August 1991 at Brevard, Florida. Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell Jr. died on 5 May 2023 at age 82

Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell, Jr., 83, from Lakemont, passed away on May 5, 2023.
Born and raised on a farm in North Carolina in 1940 with six younger siblings, Jon finally had enough of the arduous lifestyle of plowing and up and enlisted with the U.S. Air Force in 1960. After technical training with a, bunch of damn Yankees, he was assigned to the 6555th Aerospace Test Wing, Patrick AFB, Florida where he learned the delicate art of launching the nations first ICBM, the Atlas missile. At this proving ground for Americas national guided missile program, he became a steely blue-eyed missile man. He was also a USAF sharpshooter, which was a talent thankfully passed down to his only son Vance as he, never put an eye out thanks to the Bagwell boys.
While at the Cape in 62, Jon recalled watching John Glen take off in Friendship 7 in a modified Atlas missile from his nearby pad, to circle the Earth three times. Five months later, he was on alert for 13 tense days in October when the Russians were caught moving ballistic missiles into Cuba by a U2 spy plane. An AF missileer to the end, he never stopped talking about Pad 11, and his brothers, sisters, and in-laws are grateful they can finally have some peace and quiet.
After the USAF, he became a switching services supervisor at GTE, and once again passed down his electronics and telecom knowledge via endless lecturing to his son Vance, who has successfully worked for his old company, now called Verizon, for 27 years. Jon retired from GTE to work with his brothers garden, a ludicrous amount of vegetables, which led to late night canning parties, and enjoyed expounding on others the proper way to do anything. He will be remembered for his warm smile and flirting; a love of songbirds; a German hat he acquired with his late wife Gerta that he was fond of wearing; and the phrase, Das Ist Gut.
Jonathan leaves behind his son, Vance; and granddaughter, Katelyn of Cedar Hill, Texas; brothers, Weldon and James Bagwell of Lakemont, Ga; and his sisters, Linda, Mayo (and Ken), and Judy (and Mike) of Melbourne, Fla. In the night sky full of stars, he joins his parents Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell Sr., his mother Ruth, his brother Volley, and wives Gladys and Gerta. He will be missed.
Jonathan S. Bagwell Jr. will be laid to rest with honors with his late wife, Gerta, on July 5, 2023, at 2:45 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.

She was born on 21 March 1919 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.¹ She married Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell, son of William Weldon Bagwell and Susan Ann Newman, on 2 October 1939 at Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina. As of 2 October 1939,her married name was Bagwell. Martha Ruth Owensby died on 13 April 2004 in Melbourne, Florida.¹ She was buried at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Brevard County, Florida.¹

     Jonathon Stanhope Bagwell was born on 22 April 1837 in Bills Creek, Rutherford County, North Carolina. Stanhope as he was called joined the Confederate states army during the civil war, he enlisted on 9-2-1861.He was wounded in the Right shoulder and hospitalized in Richmond, Va on 7-1-1862. When he recovered he returned to duty and was wounded a second time, this time he was his right leg at Chancellorville, VA on 5-3-1863. He was amoung those who surrendered at Appamattox Court House in Virgina.
He and his wife Tempia had 8 children. He died on 10 April 1917 in Henderson County, North Carolina, at age 79.

     Volley Vance Bagwell was born on 12 September 1948 in Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina. He was the son of Jonathan Stanhope Bagwell and Martha Ruth Owensby. Volley Vance Bagwell married Ramona May Bragg on 8 December 1973 at Brevard County, Florida. Volley Vance Bagwell and Ramona May Bragg were divorced on 8 December 1983 at Harris, Texas. Volley Vance Bagwell married Patsy Garner on 11 September 1985 at Brevard County, Florida. Volley Vance Bagwell married Sharon Susan Jarrett on 14 February 1994 at Brevard County, Florida.¹ Volley Vance Bagwell died on 28 June 2008 in Lakemont, Rabun County, Georgia, at age 59
