Retired at the rank of Chief Boatswain's Mate on September 14, 1966.1 He served at Seaman 1st Class abroad the USS Washington (BB-56) - the second of two battleships in the North Carolina class, was the third ship of the United States Navy named in honor of the 42nd state. Her keel was laid down on 14 June 1938, at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. James Charles Bagwell Jr. married Maureen (?) circa 1945 at England. James Charles Bagwell Jr. died on 27 February 1984 in Clay County, Florida, at age 59.1 He was buried at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, Orange Park, Clay County, Florida.1

Mrs. Nabors was born Sept 10, 1906, in Linn, IT and lived most of her life in Marshall County. She was married to Odie Austin Nabors, Dec 28, 1924 in Powell. He died July 19, 1971.
Mrs. Nabors was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Kingston for many years.
She is survived by six sons, J.D., Gerald, Billy, of Fort Worth, Eugene of Madill, Donald and Virgil of Kingston; two daughters, Irene Bearden, Fort Worth and Opal Cox of Oakland, 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother E.D. Bagwell, and a sister Mrs. Minnie Caudle, both of Oklahoma City.
Services were Friday afternoon in Watts Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Morris in charge. He was assisted by Rev. Sammy Thompson. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn. Organist was Johnnie Ruth Jacks.
Burial was in Shay Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mike Justice, Mike Crammer, Gerald Harris, Danny Powell, Jerry Jackson, and Buddy Mills. Honorary casket escorts were Larry Adams, and Wayne, Odel, Monroe and Leroy Thompson.

Odie Austin Nabors, 66 year old native of Marshall County, died Monday evening at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Nabors were conducted Wednesday afternoon from the Shay Holiness Church where he was a member. A.G. Arnold officiated the services. Music was arranged by Bill Dunn.
Interment was in the Shay Cemetery. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket escorts were Monroe Thompson, Milton Ash, Melvin Justice, Marvin Devin, Mack Purnell, and Clarence Adams.
Born January 11, 1905 at Powell, I.T. Nabors was reared and lived his entire life in that area. He was a farmer.
He was married to Miss Fannie Bagwell on December 28, 1924 in Powell. She survives.
Other survivors include six sons J.D., Eugene, Gerald and Delmas all of Fort Worth, Donald and Virgil Nabors both of Kingston, and two daughters Irene Bearden of Fort Worth and Mrs. Opal Cox of Kingston. Also 22 grandchildren and a great grandchild. Four brothers Grady and J.C. of Powell, George of Superior, Arizonia, and A.B. Nabors of Fort Worth, and a sister Mrs. Lula Yow also of Powell.

Gloria Bernice Bagwell passed away August 19, 2017 peacefully after living life to its fullest.
Gloria was born in Denver, Colorado on May 14, 1927 to Leonard and Bernice Klingzell. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and follower of Christ.
As a teenager, Gloria moved from Colorado to Riverside, California with her parents where she eventually met the love of her life, Fred Bagwell, who preceded her in death in 2011. They were married 63 years and raised three children, Cindi (Mike) Holt, Ron (Roxanne) Bagwell and Lisa (Christer) Fiege-Kollmann.
Her warmth and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. Gloria is survived by her three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The memorial service will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Saint Matthew Ecumenical Catholic Church, 1111 Town & County Road, Orange.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to Saint Matthew Ecumenical Catholic Church; to Wilshire Avenue Community Church, 212 E. Wilshire Ave. Fullerton, CA 92832; or the charity of your choice in Gloria's memory.2
