Bagwell and Essie Elizabeth Powell, in 1888. Margaret Camelia Smith died in 1901.¹ She was buried at Ruhamah Baptist Church Cemetery, Liberty, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Pearl Edith Bagwell was born on 17 June 1899 in South Carolina. She was the daughter of James L. Bagwell and Margaret Camelia Smith. Pearl Edith Bagwell married Charlie Perry Pace after 1910. Pearl Edith Bagwell died in July 1971 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 72.

     Ella Mae Burgess was born on 7 May 1933.¹ As of 24 December 1949,her married name was Bagwell.¹ She married Wallace William Bagwell, son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard, on 24 December 1949 at Laurens County, South Carolina.¹ Ella Mae Burgess died on 11 April 2009 in Laurens County, South Carolina, at age 75 Ella Mae Bagwell, age 75, of Lydia Mill, SC, died Saturday, April 11th at her home.

Mrs. Bagwell was retired from Lydia Mill.

Surviving are her husband, Wallace W. Bagwell and three sisters, Shirley Proffitt, Linda Taylor and Sharon Hamilton.

She was predeceased by a sister, Harriett Crowell.

Graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, April 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Rosemont Cemetery.¹ She was buried at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina.¹

     Clarence Ross Bagwell was born on 15 April 1933 in South Carolina. He was the son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard.¹ Clarence Ross Bagwell died on 27 March 2015 at age 81. He was buried at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, Laurens County, South Carolina.

     Sanford Eugene Bagwell is the son of John William Bagwell and Sallie Mae Willard.¹ Sanford Eugene Bagwell married Elizabeth Womble circa 1957.

Thomas Lee Bagwell, age 76, of 203 Spruce Street, and husband of Sallie Simmons Bagwell, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Chester and was a son of the late John William and Sally Mae Willard Bagwell.
Mr. Bagwell retired from the CSX Railroad and was an US Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Mary M. Bagwell Satterfield; his nieces, Charlene Campbell, Angela Cook, Melody Fuller, Mary Beth Truelock and Dolores Payne; and several other nieces and nephews who were all special to Mr. Bagwell.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Wallace William Bagwell, Clarence Ross Bagwell, and Sanford Eugene Bagwell.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th, at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.

Martha Jane Bagwell Reynolds, known affectionately by all as Martha, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2023, in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on December 12, 1933, in Taylors, South Carolina, Martha was a woman of faith, generosity, and gentleness, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Martha was the cherished daughter of the late John Earl Bagwell and Vincie Keller Bagwell. She was the beloved sister of Anne Bagwell Poole, Mildred Bagwell Cox, William Bagwell, Robert Bagwell, and John Bagwell Jr., all of whom predeceased her. Martha was married to the love of her life, Bobby Ray Reynolds, and together they raised their two sons, Mike and Dennis Reynolds, who also predeceased her.

Martha was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her home was always open, her table always set, and her hospitality was known far and wide. Martha's home was a place of comfort and joy, a testament to her generous spirit and gentle heart.

Martha was a faithful member of the Philadelphia Church of God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and decisions. She was a woman of prayer, finding strength and solace in her relationship with God. Martha's faith-filled life was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her unwavering trust in God was a beacon of hope in times of difficulty.

Martha was the proud grandmother of Chris, Coty, and Josh Reynolds, and Stacey Moore. She took great joy in her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Martha's love for her grandchildren was immeasurable, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will continue to inspire them.

Martha's life was a testament to the power of faith, the importance of family, and the value of kindness. She was a woman of incredible strength and resilience, facing life's challenges with grace and courage. Martha's gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Martha Jane Bagwell Reynolds will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, her extended family, her church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, her faith, and her love. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the joy, love, and faith she brought into our lives.
