He was born in Chester and was a son of the late John William and Sally Mae Willard Bagwell.
Mr. Bagwell retired from the CSX Railroad and was an US Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister, Mary M. Bagwell Satterfield; his nieces, Charlene Campbell, Angela Cook, Melody Fuller, Mary Beth Truelock and Dolores Payne; and several other nieces and nephews who were all special to Mr. Bagwell.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Wallace William Bagwell, Clarence Ross Bagwell, and Sanford Eugene Bagwell.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 16th, at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.

Martha was a devoted homemaker, dedicating her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her home was always open, her table always set, and her hospitality was known far and wide. Martha's home was a place of comfort and joy, a testament to her generous spirit and gentle heart.
Martha was a faithful member of the Philadelphia Church of God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and decisions. She was a woman of prayer, finding strength and solace in her relationship with God. Martha's faith-filled life was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her unwavering trust in God was a beacon of hope in times of difficulty.
Martha was the proud grandmother of Chris, Coty, and Josh Reynolds, and Stacey Moore. She took great joy in her grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. Martha's gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Martha Jane Bagwell Reynolds will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, her extended family, her church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness, her faith, and her love. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, remembering the joy, love, and faith she brought into our lives.
She was buried at Graceland East Memorial Park and Mausoleum, Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina.
