Henry Lee Bagwell, age 81 of the Goosehorn Community in Macon County, TN, passed away Sunday morning, October 21, 2018 at the Palace in Red Boiling Springs, TN. Henry is at the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs.

Funeral Services for Henry Lee Bagwell will be conducted on Wednesday afternoon, October 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, TN with Tim McHenry, Jonny Cheek and Hugh Wayne Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Cemetery with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation with the family will begin Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m. until his service at 1 p.m. The family requests memorials be made to the Clark Cemetery. You may make these memorials by calling or coming by the Funeral Home.

Survivors include: wife, Wanda Clark Bagwell of the Goosehorn Community; daughter, Terri Dykes Mainelli of Washington, D.C; son, Donald Lee Bagwell of Augusta, GA; sisters, Faye Moody of Olustee, OK, Linda Cheek Broken Bow, OK; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Mainelli of Washington, D.C.

Born on December 4, 1934 in Ryan, OK and passed away peacefully on September 5, 2014 in Dallas, TX. Daughter of W W Bagwell and Ica Ivan Robinson. Mary Ruth moved to Dallas in the 40's and graduated from Sunset High School in 1951. In 1954 she married Gerald Dean Patterson in 1953 and had 3 children. She was a successful Real Estate and Insurance agent, as well as an entrepreneur, creating and selling multiple businesses. She was a very positive, upbeat person who was always smiling and saw the good in everyone she met. She worked tirelessly all her life in taking care of her family and friends. Services will be held September 11, 2014 at 10am, Restland Memorial Park, Wildwood Chapel, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Legacy at Preston Hollow, Dallas.

SMITH, FREDA ANN BAGWELL born March 20, 1942 in Boehler, OK, the daughter of William Whitmire Bagwell and Ica Ivey Ann (Robinson) Bagwell. She grew up in the Boswell, OK area and graduated from Boswell High School. After graduation, she moved to Dallas, TX and worked for American Mayflower. She was an inventory clerk when she started and eventually became an in-house auditor after 20 years. She also worked for Color IV Corporation and KMS Construction as their bookkeepers. She married Ernest Arnold Smith on May 25, 1963 in Durant, OK. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and caring for her yard and flowers. She was called Gran- Gran by her five grandchildren. She sewed clothing for them and even made clothing for their dolls. In addition to being a loving wife and mom, she generously shared her gift of hospitality with family and friends. Freda’s long, courageous battle with cancer ended on June 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Bagwell; three sisters, Cammie Bagwell, Shirley Ragsdale, and Taressa Bagwell; and nieces and nephews including Dana Marlene Bagwell, Pamela Sue Ragsdale, Amy Cheek, Michael Todd Cheek, and Harley Douglas Moody. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ernest Smith; son, John Arnold Smith, daughter-in-law Serette, and grandsons: Zachary and Nathan of Atlanta, GA; daughter Kim Reber, son-in-law Wes, granddaughters Bailey and Brittney, and grandson, Bryce of Lake Jackson, TX. She’s also survived by one brother, Henry Bagwell of TN; three sisters, Ruth Campbell of Dallas, TX, Faye Moody of Olustee, OK, and Linda Cheek of Broken Bow, OK; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Tuesday, July 01, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.¹

     Jessie M. Morgan was born on 3 August 1904. He married Eunice Bagwell, daughter of James Albert Bagwell and Amanda Jane Talton, before 1930. Jessie M. Morgan died on 18 January 1987 at age 82. He was buried at Rehoboth Cemetery, Tucker, DeKalb County, Georgia.

     Hildreth Anita Cox was born on 27 October 1931 in Boone County, Indiana. As of 20 June 1953,her married name was Bagwell. She married Archie Ray Bagwell, son of Delbert Ray Bagwell and Annie Belle Cohee, on 20 June 1953 at Terhune EUB Church, Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana. Hildreth Anita Cox and Archie Ray Bagwell lived in 1954 in Fort Dix, Trenton, New Jersey. Hildreth Anita Cox and Archie Ray Bagwell were divorced before 1976. Hildreth Anita Cox lived from 1987 to 2002 in Plainfield, Indiana. She lived from 2010 to 2020 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. She died on 24 November 2024 in Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana, at age 93


Hildreth Anita Bagwell "Hiddy", 93, passed away November 24, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was born October 27, 1931 in Boone County to Claude A. and Mary Cox.
Hiddy was a long time Plainfield, IN resident. She spent the last 3.5 years of her life in Indianapolis, IN at Westminster Village North.
She was employed at Indiana Bell (retired 1991). She was an active member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She sang in the church choir for many years, was a Stephen Minister, and spent countless hours volunteering at the church. Hiddy also volunteered at Ronald McDonald House for several years.
Hiddy leaves behind many family members and friends that will miss her deeply. She is survived by her son Scott (Kathy) Bagwell of Wichita, KS, daughter Dana (David) Craig of Indianapolis, IN, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her long-time friend, John J. Jones.
Visitation is planned for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, IN 46168. Hiddy's final resting place will be at the Columbarium and Memorial Garden at Plainfield United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Plainfield United Methodist Church 600 Simmons Street Plainfield, Indiana 46168 in memory of Hiddy.
