William Oscar Bagwell died on 10 December 1919 in Lakeview, Hall County, Texas, at age 38 of pneumonia and spanish flu.¹ He was buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, Hall County, Texas.¹

     Daniel Lee Bagwell was also known as Lee Daniel Bagwell. He was born on 9 June 1884 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. Daniel Lee Bagwell married Ola Chastain on 18 December 1911 at Hart County, Georgia. Daniel Lee Bagwell married Mattie Sue Childs before 1924.² Daniel Lee Bagwell died on 31 October 1947 in Franklin County, Georgia, at age 63.¹ He was buried at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹

     Minnie Belle Bagwell was born on 8 July 1886 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. As of 14 February 1894,her married name was Spears. Mary Adeline Bagwell married John E. Spears on 14 February 1894 at Franklin County, Georgia. Mary Adeline Bagwell died on 6 September 1930 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, at age 43.¹ She was buried at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.²

     Marshall Eber Bagwell was born on 15 June 1886 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. He enlisted in the US Army on August 5, 1908 and re-enlisted on August 23, 1911.

He served in the Georgia, SGT 12 INF, 8 DIV during World War I. He departed
France on the ship named Santa Teresa on 6 Mar 1919 from St Nazaire, France and arrived in Newport News, Virginia on March 18, 1919.¹ Marshall Eber Bagwell died on 5 July 1947 in Palm Beach, Florida, at age 61.¹ He was buried at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹

     Carlton Layfayette Bagwell was born on 3 February 1892 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. He served in the US. Army during World War I (Service Number: 3486479). He was a Sergant in the Medical Dept at the Base Hospital in Camp Gordon, Georgia. He served from May 29, 1917 to August 4, 1919. He was Private, 1st Class in November 18, 1918 and promoted to Sergant in Jun 26, 1918. He was in the 29th Company, 8th Tng Battalion 157 Dep Brigade to June 15, 1918.¹ Carlton Layfayette Bagwell married Nina Starr after 1923. Carlton Layfayette Bagwell died on 17 May 1953 in Fulton County, Georgia, at age 61.¹ He was buried at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹

     Eula Montine Bagwell was born on 20 December 1894 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ She was the daughter of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. As of before 1915,her married name was Hampton.² Eula Montine Bagwell married Sidney George Hampton before 1915.² Eula Montine Bagwell died on 12 February 1983 in DeKalb County, Georgia, at age 88.¹ She was buried at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.¹

     Paul Bagwell was born on 3 March 1897 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.¹ He was the son of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. Paul Bagwell married Ola Belle Manus before 1917.² Paul Bagwell died on 24 October 1959 in Fulton County, Georgia, at age 62.¹ He was buried at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.¹

     Martin Veale Bagwell was born on 14 March 1899 in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia. He was the son of Giles Lafayette Bagwell and Sara Isabelle Morgan. Martin Veale Bagwell died on 2 March 1959 in Fresno, Fresno County, California, at age 59. He was buried at Belmont Memorial Park, Fresno, Fresno County, California.

     Calvin David Bagwell was born on 5 August 1881 in South Carolina. He was the son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley. Calvin David Bagwell married Etta Lillian Hopkins on 15 April 1900 at South Carolina. Calvin David Bagwell died on 2 March 1934 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 52. He was buried at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Etta Lillian Hopkins was born on 1 October 1884 in North Carolina. She married Calvin David Bagwell, son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley, on 15 April 1900 at South Carolina. Etta Lillian Hopkins died on 4 May 1959 at age 74. She was buried at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Easley, Pickens County, South Carolina.

     Jiles Leon Bagwell was also known as Giles Leon Bagwell. He was born on 18 March 1901 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Calvin David Bagwell and Etta Lillian Hopkins. Jiles Leon Bagwell married Lucia Mae Capps on 15 March 1921 at Pickens County, South Carolina. Jiles Leon enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on 4 June 1926 at Paris Island, South Carolina.¹ On 15 May 1930, Robert Evans and Albert Duffy were shot to death in Evan's home near Lakehurst, New Jersey. Jiles Leon Bagwell was charged with their murders. It is unknown at the time I am writing this whether he was found innocent or guilty or the circumstances behind the crime.¹ He married Mary Wade after 1965. Jiles Leon Bagwell died in 1980. He was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausoleum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.²

     Lucia Mae Capps was born on 31 May 1902 in Anderson County, South Carolina.¹ She married Jiles Leon Bagwell, son of Calvin David Bagwell and Etta Lillian Hopkins, on 15 March 1921 at Pickens County, South Carolina. Mrs. Lucia Capps Bagwell, of Avice Dale Drive, Route 8, Greenville, wife of J. L. (Don) Bagwell, died at a local hospital at 9:45 a.m. yesterday following a serious illness of three days.

A daughter of the late John and Ada Orr Capps, she was born in Anderson County, May 31, 1902. She had lived in Easley for many years before coming to Greenville in 1940.

She was a member of Julian Avenue Baptist Church and the Fidelis Class of the Sunday school.

Surviving also are three daughters, Mrs. Joe Allen (Helen) and Mrs. Grady Barett (Lucille) of Greenville, and Mrs. Ruail Edens (Juanita) of Easley; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur McQueen of Easley and Mrs. Bill Phillips of Greenville; one brother, J. W. Capps of Piedmont; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Julian Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Gary Cooper and Rev. C. B. Lockee. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

The body is at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, but will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Allen, 1 Templewood Drive, but will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.¹ She was buried at Graceland West Cemetery and Mausoleum, Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina.¹

     Ernest Monroe Bagwell was born on 31 July 1899 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley. Ernest Monroe Bagwell married Margaret Jane Phillips after 1915. Ernest Monroe Bagwell died on 15 January 1966 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 66. He was buried on 16 January 1966 at Corinth Baptist Church #1 Cemetery, Anderson County, South Carolina.

     Forrest Lee Bagwell was born on 31 May 1894 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley. Forrest Lee Bagwell married Hazel Atkins after 1910. Forrest Lee Bagwell died on 30 October 1926 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 32 He died of an acute Appendicitis.¹ He was buried on 1 November 1926 at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, Cass County, South Carolina.¹

     James Marcus Bagwell was born on 22 December 1890 in Pickens County, South Carolina. He was the son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley. James Marcus Bagwell married Ellie Jane Carver after 1915. James Marcus Bagwell died on 22 September 1918 at age 27.      George Adolphus Bagwell was also known as Adolphus George Bagwell. He was born on 29 October 1877 in Pickens County, South Carolina.¹ He was the son of Calvin Lynch Bagwell and Margaret Melissa Lesley. George Adolphus Bagwell married Emma Jane Pace before 1898. George Adolphus Bagwell died on 20 June 1936 in Pickens County, South Carolina, at age 58.¹ He was buried at Golden Grove Cemetery, Pickens County, South Carolina.¹

     Elijah Walker Bagwell was also known as Elijah William Bagwell. Elijah Walker Bagwell married Leotto Cantrell in 1899 at Pickens County, South Carolina. Elijah Walker Bagwell married Leitha Mae Martin after 1920.
