Bloomington - Donald T. Bagwell, 88, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, on April 16, 2016 at his residence in Bloomington.

His graveside service will be conducted at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Military Rites will be accorded by the Bloomington-Normal American Legion Honor Guard. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Jazz Upfront, 107 W. Front Street in Bloomington, after the service, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Donald T. “Bags” Bagwell was born from the union of Donald Bagwell and Mable Dee Johnson.

His sisters and brother (all deceased) were Genevieve, Alice Ella, Julia Ann, May Bell, Louise, and Margaret Bagwell, and Vernon and Grace Huddleston.His surviving nephews and nieces include Taylor Cisco, Jr., David Cisco, Ernest Toplyn, Michael Toplyn, Valerie Bell, and Larry Bell.

Donald moved to Woodhill Towers in Bloomington for the last 8 months of his life, a short distance from his childhood home and his long-time residence. Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952, and attended Illinois State University upon his discharge. Donald was employed at Model Window Cleaners, Paxton’s Office Supplies, the former Illinois House and other businesses until his retirement.

Donald left behind many friends from the extended Hursey, Doage, Gaston and Waddell families, as well as Dr. Gary Brandenburg, Chuck Howard, Mike Shepard, Greg and Chris Marlett, David Deneen and Dan Deneen. Countless other persons enjoyed Donald’s good company, humor and wit at his home at Madison and Oakland Streets, which was welcome to all.

Donald will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.

BAGWELL William "Billy" P. Bagwell, of Fairfield, the beloved husband of Honorine Dujany Bagwell, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in New York, NY to the late William and Catherine Bagwell, he was a Fairfield resident for over twenty years. Billy was a graduate of the City College of New York and a member of the National Society of Pershing Rifles. He was also a lector at the Holy Family Church. Billy had a successful career in sales. He worked for companies such as Pitney Bowes, C.P. Bourg, A.B. Dick, Compugraphics and he was the owner of Convenient Graphics. Billy was a big fan of sports, especially basketball and horse racing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Nicole Bagwell and her fiancé, Christopher Forrester of Wilmington, NC, Christina Bagwell of Fairfield and William Andrew Bagwell currently serving in the United States Navy in Pensacola, FL. He will also be missed by his sisters, Lorraine and Joan Bagwell of Sunnyside, NY; mother-in-law, Mary "Nene" Rhoad Dujany of Bridgeport; sister-in-law, Nannette Dujany Fatigate of Fairfield; nieces, Cathy Hirsch, Kelly-Anne Kellaher and Collette Fatigate; and nephews, Jonathan, Richie and Henri Fatigate and Jimmie Kellaher; and future grandson, Christopher William Forrester. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. directly at Holy Family Church in Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
